Having a deep passion for intertwining Occult Wisdom into his music, SOLëM looks to create powerful tools for the dance floor with the intention go deep within and embrace our shadow, as darkness is one with the light, "Everything is dual and has its poles : Opposites are identical in nature, but different in Degree".

SOLëM's sound can best be described as a Rumbling mass of sound, Evolving through a thick fog that rests over the fringes of what is perceived as techno.

With a major focus on Drones and Atmospheres that weave through each other as eerie textures convolute their way through the thick fog that eventually engulfs them. He seeks to convey the Depth of his emotional state through intelligent and unique sound design, always looking to create music that is timeless rather than trendy

Mic Meimaroglou's passion for electronic music began at a young age, sparked by his fascination with the synthesizer's analog sound. As he delved deeper into the art of music production, he discovered that synthesizing and mixing sounds provided him with a creative outlet for self-expression.

As a resident DJ in small bars, Michael's experimentation with various music genres expanded his knowledge and technique in mixing. In 2010, he released his first music demo under the alias "Aithale," which showcased his unique blend of electronica and techno elements.

In 2013 and 2014, Michael curated the electronic music program for the "Beach Street Festival," featuring both Greek and international artists. These experiences culminated in a milestone year for Michael in 2014, as he released his first music on 808 Recordings, Ntrop Recordings, and joined the music roster of Affect Recordings Munich. He also released on DMR Digital Italy.

In 2017, Michael launched USM Recordings with the goal of supporting the Greek contemporary electronic music scene. His music releases have been featured on various Greek and international media platforms, including BeatSelector, 5 Magazine, Electronic Groove, The Letter, mic.gr, and beater.gr.

In 2023, Michael co-founded ΣΥΝTHESIS, an electronic music artist collective platform based in Lesvos island, to inspire and expand electronic music around the island and beyond through events, workshops, conferences and screenings.

Michael's DJ performances are characterized by ambient and hypnotic techno patterns, with the flow of his sets influenced strongly by the crowd's mood and the sound elements that he follows.

The DifferentSound Podcast #274 welcomes DJ Hyperactive! Chicago born and bred DJ/Producer Joseph Manumaleuna aka DJ Hyperactive needs little introduce to those versed in the history of techno.  As one of Daft Punk’s “Teachers” and “brother of the humble” according to Resident Adviser, his contributions to the underground continue to span generations.  Honing his skills in the highly influential scene and sound of Chicago in the early 90s, DJ Hyperactive gained instant international recognition and has since gone on to play the most legendary and lauded events and venues over the last 20 years, such as Orbit/ Leeds, Liquid Room/ Tokyo, Love Parade/ Berlin, Shelter & Smart Bar/ Chicago, Interface/ Los Angeles, Movement/ Detroit, Basement & Output/ Brooklyn, Tresor & Berghain/ Berlin and the list doesn’t stop there.  Also, over the course of his career, he has produced over 100 remixes and original tracks, including classics such as ‘Venus’ & ‘Wide Open’/ Missile, ‘25HRs’/ Droid, “Music Box”/ 4Trk, “Reptilian Tank” & “Chicago”/Contact, Drop Bass, Communique, Hybrid, Truncate, Figure, Plus 8, CLR, Blank Code, Impact Mechanics, Illegal Alien, to name a few.  DJ Hyperactive returned to Chicago 2013 to reconnect with his family and musical roots. February's episode on the MindTrip Podcast welcomes Swedish techno icon Joel Mull. Joel is one of the main artists who pushed Stockholm's underground scene forward since the mid '90s. He is among the very few who believed that techno would be the music of tomorrow and he clearly proved that with his musical career over the last two decades releasing numerous albums and EPs with his percussive signature sound on labels like Harthouse, Truesoul, Parabel, Dystopian while showcasing his DJing skills at the biggest clubs all over the world. Today Joel is finishing his new album that will be soon released on the label A Strangely Isolated Place under his alias Damm. We are pleased to share his 2hour mix on episode 43 that takes us into diffrerent musical directions made of some powerful four to the floor cuts and hypnotic, driven sounds.
