François J. Bonnet talks about ‘The Order of Sounds: A Sonorous Archipelago’, his book on the philosophy of sound and listening, explaining the motivation behind its examination of modes of listening and its mapping of plural sonic ontologies, and expanding on some of the concepts he introduces in order to take account of the ‘schizological’ nature of sound. The podcast concludes with an exclusive track by Bonnet’s alter-ego Kassel Jaeger.

Volunteer Coroner, Preston Weippert’s project is one of the most prolific artists from USA at the moment. With his unique way of mixing harsh textures and warm ambiences, he built a name in the vast list of ambient/ noise musicians from this new millennium. Releasing works under labels such as Perfect Aesthetic, Cloister Recordings and Trust Collective, the label he co-operates. “Crimson Pit”, the track he sent us is a perfect soundtrack for the process of death and rebirth - from victim to reincarnation. This release works as a premiere for this track, the last one off his upcoming full length titled “in the garden of blood and bones”, out soon on Trust Collective.
