Launched in 2010 by infamous electro artist Umwelt and graphic partner Chris Nexus 6, New Flesh Records definitively focuses on underground and futuristic music. Productions are characterized by the use of analogue synthetic ma-chines: therefore, the music oscillates between Electro and Techno styles.
"Elektro Diktators Vol.1" inaugurates a series of top electro compilations on the french imprint and offers for its first chapter four uncompromizing tracks from the like of renegades DynArec (Electrix, Delsin), Umwelt (Shipwrec, Sata-mile), Franck Kartell (Transient Force, Black Leather) & Jauzas The Shining (Last Known Trajectory, Black Montanas). Each artist provides his personal vision of Electro in an oustanding way.

In a wide-ranging discussion, they talked about dubstep and the dubstep name, Bristol, the influence of reggae, running a label in 2025, Adrian Sherwood, Trim, Croydon, Forward>> and more. For Tectonic’s 20th anniversary, label boss Pinch rounds up some heaters from the label alongside their Tectonic Sound compilation. Spinning the whole bass spectrum, Pinch goes from broiling two step to scrubbing grime, with frazzled pulse discharging great energy beside Trim’s idiosyncratic, expressive raps. Lighter moments like the whizzing, zipping, euphoric arpeggios of Peverlist’s ‘Feel Something’ are offset by guttural moody bass, travelling from the club convergence of rattles and tings and brightly resonating metals on Bohdi’s ‘Bellcurve’ to the heavy rotating bass of J. Sparrow’s ‘L33T SP33K’, with slippery dub lasers echoing out.

Shortly after making his debut on International Deejay Gigolos back in 2000, Poladroïd ventured on his own to establish Roulette Rekordz. He then toured Europe performing in cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, London, Amsterdam, Prague, Paris... and predominantly in Belgium alongside artists like ADULT., Ectomorph, Dopplereffekt, Luke Eargoggle, MANASYt, Zerkalo and numerous local talents where he has gained a reputation for his dynamic and energetic live performances, delivering a unique blend of electro with an unwavering intensity that has remained consistent throughout the years.

Around 2008 the label ceased its activities and shortly after Poladroïd took a break from his musical pursuits. However, he resurfaced in 2019, simultaneously relaunching his label. Since then he has released music on Science Cult, Detriti, Microm, Applied Research, Meta Moto, Diffuse Reality, Patterned Media... In addition to his work as Poladroïd, he has also released albums as the Xenomorph Jazz Ensemble and under the Cercle Futur moniker.
