BRAWLcast 2015

138 is the collaborative project between Billy Garcia and Nathan Valle, a dynamic duo from the city of Whittier, California. Both residents of the rising techno & house collective In:volve, the two have made their way into the LA underground techno scene under their solo alias’ Santera (NV) and Suerte (BG). After years of working together in the studio, playing b2b DJ sets, and forming a band together in high-school, the two decided to form the project 138 which concentrates on raw and abrasive, fast paced techno, influenced by the early works of Regis, Surgeon and Paul Birken and offering a modern approach to 90’s UK Techno/Industrial with a touch of North American essence. 138 steps up to plate for their first release on their own imprint TXTRL, with a single called “DECONSTRUCT” - an original track that is accompanied by two massive remixes from Paul Birken and Joe Farr.

'Suerte_' is the solo project from Billy Garcia, one half of previous Grounded Podcast duo '138' and also 1 of the 4 brains behind LA Techno label TXTRL. The 22 year old producer/DJ has spread his sound through the LA underground Techno scene supporting artists such as: Cell Injection, Raíz, Black Asteroid, Andrei Morant, Project 313, and more. In 2014, Suerte_ began the year with a gig in Detroit for one of the Blank Code 'Scene' installments as part of the Movement Festival Pre-Parties, sharing the bill with Function. 2014 also marked the launch of his label TXTRL - featuring the debut release of his duo '138'. Keep an eye out for TXTRL 002 which should be coming soon!
