With an intense supply of original tracks behind him, both unreleased and also releases on labels such as  Lobster Theremin and Ophism among others, he regularly leaves a burning hole behind him on the decks, mainly around London in clubs like FOLD among venues - and if he isn't behind the booth, he is populating the airwaves with regular shows with a multitude of insanely well curated guests on Rinse FM and Threads radios. The mix contains a delightful selection of hard techno, mixed to perfection as usual. We hope you enjoy!

MPathy - Textures #078 (Guest mix for Paul Sawyer/ DI.FM)

When DJs and producers @eris-drew and @octoocta first met, they felt an instant connection that has only grown over the years. Kindred spirits in both music and life, the pair released their first split EP entitled Devotion in 2018, sharing the same artistic values that make their music deeply moving in all senses of the word. Their DJ sets, meanwhile, light up the dancefloor — their back to backs can be as bombastic and high-energy as they are personal and emotive, speaking to a healing force that seems to drive all of their work. 

In this episode, we discuss their b2bs, their joint tour and label, @T4TLUVNRG, and their collaborative project Alchemical Sisters — the latest addition to a cosmic world in full colour.

"I always want to challenge myself as a musician." The DJ, producer and T4T LUV NRG cofounder talks about her new live set and overcoming hearing loss live from MUTEK.

Eris Drew is something of a mentor to many, including people she's never met. Her words on psychedelics, the ritual of dancing and other topics have become near-gospel for many fans, and it's always a treat to hear her speak on practically any topic. While many of her discussions veer towards the esoteric or spiritual, when it came time for our live RA Exchange at MUTEK, she wanted to get down to brass tacks about making and playing music.

Ahead of the first North American performance of her stunning live show, Drew sat down with RA's music editor, Andrew Ryce. She spoke at length about her live show and DJing—including her old-school style of mixing she calls "riding the pitch"—and the trials and tribulations of proofing stages and booths for turntable use, hearing protection and more. She spoke with all the authority and feeling she usually does, with a deep, technical knowledge that makes this talk almost as much a tutorial as it was a conversation.
