I must recommend an app called Trackhunter I've been using it for a while (I did write it)...it's an easy to use app that makes finding upfront electronic dance music very quick and easy. It makes it possible to listen to all the new music regardless of genre so you can create your own style without having to follow anyone else. As a classically-trained pianist and accomplished musician, Lydia René’s sound is best described as “indie, vibrant soul”. With influences ranging from Jill Scott and Phyllis Hyman to James Taylor and Carole King, Lydia’s blended sound will take audiences to a higher musical plateau. 

Lydia has shared the stage with many award-winning artists such as Eric Roberson, Jean Baylor, Jaguar Wright, and Wayna.Born and raised in Mount Holly, New Jersey, Lydia gained her musical experience by performing at music venues all over nearby Philadelphia. Lydia now resides in Los Angeles, CA where she recently finished her debut studio album "Vintage Heart". Lydia teamed up with GRAMMY Award-nominated producer Jameel Roberts (Usher, J. Cole, Nicki MInaj) as well as producer / musician Harry Wilson (John Legend, Kindred The Family Soul)  & Rick Carlos (Nello, J-Lo) to create a sound all her own. She's the proud winner of the 2014 LAMN JAM competition (previously won by Aloe Blacc). Lydia also performed at the 2014 Taste Of Soul Family Festival (which draws a crowd of over 250,000) along with other performers such as Tyrese, Syleena Johnson, Tank, and Raheem Devaughn. More recently Lydia had the opportunity to sing a soul stirring rendition of "I Put A Spell On You" for the movie trailer campaign for the box office hit "The Perfect Guy".

This site is a reflection and in some ways a chronicle of my career in Dance Music .... ALL the mixes are live and mainly all from vinyl .... There are a few which are a mix of Vinyl and CD .... ALL the remixes with the exception of "BREAK FOR LOVE" are from my time as a well known Remixer and Producer. All the ACIDISCOTECH mixes are samples of how I play now in a bar setting although there is some club crossover. ACIDISCOTECH means a mix of sounds and styles and time periods which when combined express the energy  and passion I feel for music ... I FIRMLY BELIEVE IN THE CAPACITY FOR PEOPLE TO OPEN THEIR EARS, MINDS AND HEARTS TO ALL DIFFERENT TYPES OF MUSIC AND ENJOY IT FOR WHAT IT IS .... WITHOUT APPLYING NEGATIVE ENERGY BASED ON WHAT THEY ARE BEING TOLD IS COOL. FUCK POLITICS AND TRENDINESS ... LET'S DANCE !
