Adding to the many hats I am currently wearing, I now also teach songwriting at BIMM Institute Hamburg.
Kind of scary at first, but also totally fun and rewarding. 
In the ‘Life Performance Workshop’ we have the students work on covers and original songs in a live setting.
‘Live’ as in slightly dodgy P.A, feedbacking monitors and dim lighting. Great stuff!

The first two weeks were spent working on this tune from Feist, so I’d been hearing this song day-in, day-out at this point.
It kind of made sense to get back to the studio and record my own take on it as well.

"1234" is a song from Feist's third studio album, The Reminder. 
The song was co-written by Feist and Sally Seltmann, an Australian singer-songwriter who also recorded under the stage name New Buffalo.
It remains Feist's biggest hit single in the US to date, and her only song to chart on the Billboard Hot 100 and UK Top 40.
I especially like her ‘Sesame Street’ version which she performed with Elmo and the gang on the actual show (“Feist loves counting 1, 2, 3, 4 - counting to the number four.”)
I’ve stuck to the original lyrics for my version of the song, though.
