After the very successful “64 Ways” Ep that we released earlier this summer we are ready for more Detroit Swindle “Boxed Out” goodness. The boys have selected some of their fave producers to Lay their hands on four originals from the album.
First up is Mr. Freerange himself, Jamie Odell, who delivers a typical deep and fresh sounding reinterpretation of B.Y.O. under his Jimpster moniker. It’s a true house jam as only he can build it wit a great “Live” feeling. This is followed by MRSK from Sweden who you might know from his excellent releases on “Rush Hour”, “Skudge” or “Sushitech”. He boosts the banging “He’s Just This Guy, You Know?” to even higher levels with a raw Disco and Funk infusion.

The B side opens with Germany’s finest “Cuthead” who has just released his debut album on “Uncanny Valley” and who has been a huge inspiration to the boys in the past years, we are very glad that he drops his great skills on the smooth “Me, Myself & You” track.

Closing off is non other than legendary Baltimore producer Karizma aka Kaytronik, it’s a great honour for us to have such an influential producer on this EP and his take on the album Hip Hop jam “For The Love Of...” is something special. Crystal clear Techno/ House beats with deep subs and the cut up vocal from the original turn this remix into something very special and timeless.

Bodhi's tunes are what house music's all about. Laden with sweet grooves, armed with serious bass and dripping with soul. 

Since their 'Culture'/'Deliquesce' release on Grizzly, the Welsh boys have consistently received the seal of approval from us folk at Mixmag HQ. First they delivered a super fun Mix of the Week, before 'No More' and the moody yet sweet-sounding 'Entropy' further enhanced their reputation.

Hunter Siegel has received props from the likes of Skrillex, Zeds Dead and Adventure Club and he cites Todd Terry as a huge influence on his hybrid house sound so this new collaboration could be a match made in heaven.

Terry on the other hand needs no introduction. A founding father of the house sound as we know it, his legacy ranges back over 30 years and this new track marks a new venture in his career.

The track ‘Time To Blackout’ is a fierce and fiery cut, one that escalates through large basslines and outrageous drops

Sammy Bananas means business. This Fool's Gold OG has proven himself as a master of the club jam, writing tunes that pay respect to dance music's past while simultaneously charting it's quirky, funky future. "Money Time" is his latest hybrid single, weaving vocals from new school divas Antony & Cleopatra over a chunky, pulsating slice of piano house. It's as dancefloor (and dare we say, radio) ready as anything from the likes of Duke Dumont or Kiesza, but with a pleasantly odd heart that's 100% Sammy. The remixes are no slouch either: peak-time heat from festival mainstay Wax Motif, jacking vibes courtesy Colorado's Option4, and a wonky, unclassifiable bass version from Durkin that's already a FG favorite, keeping this "Money Time" package paid in full.

Saline is the third installment in a series of records from Ultramajic boss Jimmy Edgar. While the first part, Hot Inside, represented the element of fire, and its follow-up release, Mercurio, symbolized water, Saline is aligned with earth. It's no accident that the name refers specifically to the earthly compound salt, as desalination is an integral metaphysical process that helps to hone the third eye.

The EP rises from the ashes of Hot Inside and Mercurio with "Burn," a blazing acid-tinged banger that boats dry drums and a strangled wail. The reference to fire in the title suggests the evolution of Edgar's series of singles, while the name of the track "Decalcify" invokes a process closely related to desalination, as both play a role in making the body more attuned to supernatural experiences. Ultramajic's Chicago house influence enticed legendary footwork producer DJ Rashad, who's voice can be heard in the sampled squawk on metallic tune "Walk Show." The final track "Who's Watchin," features Jimmy's own vocal, coy bleep-bloop instrumentation and hissing hi-hats. Taken as a whole, Saline and the other releases in Jimmy's series of dance singles are designed to instigate the processes they allude to and aid in the path of spiritual development.

Dense & Pika are back, yo. Surprising given their activity on the summer circuit, this 'ere Klank EP is only the first release proper of 2014 for the nefarious Hotflush duo - it's an aptly titled one too, carrying all the steel and grit of 12"s prior. "Lazy Wayne" is a slab of meticulously-constructed clangorous techno, cut up with jibbering vocals that build to a disorientating finale. We can only assume they're firing shots at our misfiring England captain with the song title; bonus points if so.

Wow, what a challenge remixing this funky classic from 2000... I finally decided only to take the vocal recording and build a new instrumental around it! There are three, four grooves playing together with some secret compression support. The high Dan Bell-ish sound has been made with, believe it or not, NI Massive. Enjoy!
