In anticipation for our upcoming Life Classics night at OHM, Red Greg serves up an hour of power to set the tone. Since he began collecting records in the late 80’s Red Greg has built a reputation as one of the finest DJs when it comes to sounds from across the disco sphere. His amassed knowledge of 70's Disco-Boogie and early 80's Modern Soul and Funk shines through in his edits and renowned Under The Influence compilation.

In July 2010, I got an invitation to play at a small but neat festival named Folk Ibiza. It was my first visit to the island. I got to spin at a bunch of different locations, such as the Hostal Boutique Salinas, Sunset Ashram, and on the terrace at Space. I returned in September of the following year to play a set on Andy Wilson's show on Ibiza Sonica and a second time at the Hostal. I have not been back to Ibiza since. I recently came across this picture (taken at Cala Compte next to Sunset Ashram), which inspired me to make this mix. I tried to sonically capture the vibe that I felt back then. It includes some bona fide classics such as Ashra "Oasis“, Santana "Aqua Marine," and Jah Wobble & Holger Czukay "Hold On To Your Dreams," as well as tunes by Smith & Mudd, Begin, Quiet Village and more. Ever since, it's been a treat to see these guys team up on a few more occasions...and the 6th birthday celebration for the FEVER 105 crew was no exception! Pure musical bliss....enjoy!
