After having collaborated on our last Dombrance Ep ‘Double Trouble’ with a dreamy remix of ‘Bayrou’, Daniele Baldelli & Dionigi and Discolypso have teamed up on an full EP release - Tropical City. 

To fully appreciate this album we must dedicate an ode to the two legends of Italian dance music. 
Daniele Baldelli, “father of all Italian DJs” and pioneer of the Cosmic Disco from the 80s, and Marco Dionigi with his hypnotic dark wave sound, who partnered together to bend the norms of experimental dance music, stemming from a disco basis. 

This new EP ‘Tropical City’ displays melodies and beats that could be heard in the tropical jungle of a far away planet.

From the uplifting ‘Around the Curve’, to the deeply funky ‘Stabile’ and finally the hypnotic disco masterpiece that is ‘Tropical City’, this EP can be both enjoyed sipping a sunset cocktail by the pool or under the full moon light of a summer beach rave. 

To match these unique productions and artist duo, we enlisted a remix roster from both well known names and underground legends that expressed their very diverse and unique interpretation. 

First up is Scandinavian space disco kingpin Rune Lindbaek, who took the ‘Tropical City’ into his own disco spaceship, soaring through the galaxies.  

Dan Tyler of Idjut Boys felt so inspired he made two versions of 'Tropical City' - an official cosmic remix great for any dance floor, and a 'reprise' (Think DRUMS!).

In a similar manner, Man Power blessed us with two remixes - one glorious build up of an Ambient version for Around The Curve and a hypnotic dance tune of the same track that will spiral any party into new directions, including a sinister yet romantic piano riff. 

Rich Lane flaired his versatility and came up with two very different versions of Around the Curve - an Ambient Dub and a chugging trippy deep house remix. Imagine washing the track through an Acid rinse. 

Fellow Italian Danilo Braca, who added strings, synths, breaks and… vocals to ‘Around the Curve’ , bringing his balearic influence to what could be a Kyoto-based listening bar. 

Finally, Spanish producer K-Effect reworked ‘Stabile’ into a dance floor banger that is sure to get the feet stomping.
