Well well well...

It's been a while since the bros got together to record a mix, so we're pleased to present you with this recording of an all-vinyl set from Alex's (@nostradahm's) Halloween bday bash back at the end of October. 

Alex brought his turntables and all his gear outside to make this killer setup under the treehouse in his backyard. We chilled, caught up, goofed around, and shared some of our favorite records we've been listening to since we last saw each other.

What can we say? Great vibes and great times with longtime friends. 

Special thanks to @Moosy_q for bringing over some vinyl and his mobile recording rig and all of our other friends and loved ones there to dance and howl at the Halloween moon.

Roush founder Hector Couto celebrates the 100th release on his label by delivering a collection of dancefloor weapons on his ‘Tambora’ EP, including the quirky and jacking house cut 'Jungle Ruff'. 

Since Roush launched in 2013, the label has consistently released highly sought after releases from leading talents such as DJ W!LD, DJ Sneak, Steve Lawler and Phil Weeks, plus regular material from core artists such as Neverdogs, Los Pastores and Javi Bora. Now Hector Couto comes forth to provide a fitting landmark release focusing on his signature rhythmic, rolling grooves and rhythms. 

The ‘Tambora’ EP, which also features a remix by fellow Spanish talent German Brigante, is set for release August 20.

This was my second show for Crate Digs Radio (@crate-digs), streamed lived on Saturday February 6, 2021 from 6 pm to 8 pm Pacific Time.

For this episode I went through my music collection and tried to find tracks that for some reason or another haven't made it into one of my recorded sessions. The selection is much more laid back than my previous show and features some of my favorite melodic, progressive, and soulful jams. 

I had some troubleshooting to do with the live radio stream and had to pause recording around the first 30 minutes, so this picks up where I began recording again, so please enjoy this 1.5 hour mix, and as always, thanks for sharing if you do.  

I'm off air next weekend, returning to the show on February 20th...

Session010 — Crate Digs Radio 002

Two friends from completely different sides of the world—Dallas, Texas, and Tehran, Iran—both somehow found themselves in Los Angeles, studying architecture, and with the same love for house and techno. They started mixing together in 2015, and later went on to form Disco Resistance, a collaborative project with the intention to create a movement about diversity, creativity, and positivity.

We're using this as a platform to encourage people to connect with others in their communities and build strength together on the dance floor. Music is a universal language understood by all, giving us the power to unite under our right to express our freedom through self-expression. Together, we need to show the whole world that there is a massive progressive force that will DANCE against hate, bigotry, extremism, greed, and corrupt political agendas every step of the way.
