At the crossroads between Rock, Techno and Dark Disco, Marseille-based DJ/Producer Bonnie Spacey has been rocking the dance floors for more than 7 years. Inspired by the musical curiosity of her guitarist father, who introduced her to Jimmy Hendrix and all the legends of rock, she perfected her musical culture by practising the guitar and the piano for years.

It is at the turn of a live performance of Miss Kittin & The Hacker at the beginning of the millennium that she discovers electronic music: it was love at first sight. For 10 years, she skims the dance floors of many European clubs and festivals, and it is finally in 2015 that she gets behind the decks for the first time. Since then, she has been performing all over the world with her infamous, catchy, and powerful sound, sharing the stage with legends such as Richie Hawtin, Sven Väth, Kink, Curses, David Vunk, Zombies In Miami, among many others.

A few years later, she finally starts producing music, directly making a first hit with the single "Don’t" in 2019. Since then, she’s been accumulating furious releases on labels such as Slow Motion, Jane Musica, Slow Cycle and more and mostly on her own label Critical Monday: an independent electronic music label releasing cuts between rock and techno, but definitely club-oriented, that she founded in 2019.

After their remix of 'Ritmica La Noar' from Eliezer & Mufti, included on Eliezer's recent release on Play Pal, French duo Kimshies are back on board, this time on our mix series, with one hour that faithfully reflects their signature sound of raw, cold and twisted analogue grooves.

In 2004 they released "Chicago 72", limited to 500 vinyl copies and it was not until May 2018, when the public discovered it during Solomun's 'Cercle' set at the Orange Roman Theatre.
Peo Watson and Bijou Williams have known each other for over 20 years now but it was in part this late exposure, what made them get back together in the studio and start making new music again. Music  we've seen released lately on labels such as Aeon, Ombra Intl, Duro or with us at Play Pal.

Royston Summers is an electronic artist bringing the much-loved sounds of 80s synthesiser-driven Electronica and Synthwave, raw 90s House, and the post-millennia Indie Dance, Nu Disco, and French House phenomena into the future.

Summers has long been a key figure in electronic music, working behind the scenes with the likes of Kerri Chandler, Roger Sanchez, Jonas Blue, and Sam Divine amongst many others, as well as producing songs for many different vocalists over the years and many of his productions featuring heavily on esteemed platforms such as BBC Radio 1. The past decade’s worth of experience with the aforementioned laid the foundations for this project, which stands as the culmination of the deep understanding and knowledge of music that he’s accrued over this time.

Besides this hands-on experience, Royston’s material takes influence from many of the pioneering artists and engineers who paved the way for musical innovation for so many such as Pink Floyd, Frankie Goes To Hollywood, Alan Parsons, Jimi Hendrix, Daft Punk, Dave Pensado, and the infamous Depeche Mode who rose to stardom from the same town Royston is based, Basildon in Essex. 

2021 will see Summers introduce his sound to the world, showcasing his extensive amalgamation of sounds and styles which twist and turn yet keep a coherent thread as distinctively as his personality. Also playing a fundamental part in the project is vocalist Troy Denari, most notably known for his work with Kerri Chandler. A live show is already in the making to weave this together even more and bring the world this futuristic twist on classic electronic music.

TANK Kollektiv is a project founded by Joris Heijkant and Reyk to express and share the love for electronic music through podcasts and the promotion of small-scale events. Their weekly podcast TANK Radio has a strong focus on Dark Disco and closely related genres. In addition to the residents of TANK Kollektiv, inspiring artists from all over the world are invited to share their take on electronic music.

For this mixtape TANK Kollektiv founders Reyk and Joris Heijkant got together for a b2b: 

Reyk finds inspiration in (Dark) Disco, Trance, House and everything in-between. Synth-heavy floor fillers and sweeping basslines are his favourite ingredients. Whereas Joris Heijkant finds a balance between heavy-hitting synth music and genres such as Electronica, Dark Disco and Kraut. He often carries arpeggios and some dance floor curveballs in his toolbox!

Jason Peters is a DJ/producer and label boss for Roam Recordings.
 
He is also a long time staple of the San Francisco dance music community where he plays regularly for some of SF’s more discerning clubs and promoters such as Sunset Sound System, Housepitality, Monarch, and The Great Northern. On Jason Peters’ travels outside of the Bay Area he has played events such as SundaySunday, CRSSD festival, Block 9 at Glastonbury, Red Light Radio, Kater Blau, and the Alfresco festival.

Jason has music scheduled for release in 2023 on Playground, Nein, and his own Roam Recordings. In addition to his solo work, Jason has a more psychedelic techno leaning project with his partner _Mr_Jenifer and releases under the Psybody moniker. Together Jason and _Mr_Jenifer also run the Psychicbody record label.
