My Cat Is An Alien -Art Is A Tear Of Noise And Infinite Silence (Album Preview)

старые комм (loosely translated as Old Komm) are Andrey Kolmogorov and Sergey Gorsky, a musical duo hailing from the city of Samara, Russia. 
Since meeting in the mid 90's the duo started translating their musical ideas by making industrial music using a mixture of field recordings, broken synths, found sound and, what became a constant motif on their output, church pipe organs - Sergey's father was a church organist of 40 years giving the duo plenty of material to tamper with. 
Isolated from any western influence and attention, the duo released a handful of extremely limited K7s. The results were unique slabs of industrial music with strong nods to primitive techno, sound design and noise music. For lack of an audience as well as poor distribution the tapes were mostly handed out to friends and family until one reached the 'discrepant' radar a couple of years back. 
Today, Discrepant presents an exclusive EP of their first work in years, constructed around the sounds recorded on the ex-USSR Baltic port city of Ventspils, Latvia. 

Pressed on 250 vinyl only editions packed in luscious printed outer & inners with photography by Sergey Gorsky.

Etrusca 3D is a new band that merges two current Audio and visual artists from the 21st Century, Francesco Cavaliere and Spencer Clark.

The album is the first to be released by Spencer Clark's label Pacific City Discs, as a subsidiary and in collaboration with Discrepant.

Etrusca 3D is the juxtaposition of two imagineers friendship, as Francesco says, 'because I am Etruscan and you (Spencer) are 3D." There is a piece of the future of Etruscan civilization contained within this disc. It is with Spencer's remote viewing of a past and future creative culture and Francesco's birthright that we find a true insinuation of civilizations world body.

We decided to invoke various Etruscan deities or spirits by sampling Francesco's voice uttering their name. We put them inside the Emax 2 3D machine and we began to play these deities and thus incorporate a fresh and ancient music language to present the 21st Century Etruscan experience. In the meantime, these musical stories turned into Francesco's imaginary storytelling style to further present a narrated record of the intuited activities of Etruscan Gods...’’

Il suo sguardo in trasparenza si nota dietro una barra marmorea che nasconde delle venature impossibili, probabilmente aliene. Vecu è la sola e unica abile a trasferire le parole della creazione dei mondi più alti e più profondi. Curva la realtà negli sguardi degli animali. Il sottosuolo non è scuro non è sabbia bagnata che goccia creando torri. Il sotto suolo è un terreno d’oro coperto da trasparenti cristallini involucri. Delle energie forano il pensiero e le radici strette lo conservano nel corso dei secoli. Non pensate di sbarazzarvi di lei. Vecu vive dietro gli occhi di colui che non sa di esserlo. Sta già cambiando il fuoco col suo sguardo. Nessun vampirismo. Solo un sorriso che non fa ridere ma che annuisce allo sguardo di Dio. Oltre le ciglia del tempo è la personificazione del destino celeste.

Synthesizers, loops and abstract beats.  These are a few of my favorite things?  I am a strange breed, other worldly, and a super freak.   Cold wave, minimal techno, electro abstract, avant- hard, hardcore techno, break core, IDM, EBM, Death Rock, punk Rock, New Wave,Dark Wave, Ambient, MiamiBootyBase, SpeedBase, Dub, RagaMuffin, Dubstep, Industrial, Noise, Experimental, world beat...did I forget anything?  Neophyte, for sure, and these are all my newly found treasures, that I have dug up from around the world.  One day I will produce some tracks again, until then, I will spend every minute listening to all the newly found gems!
