The guest of Hybrid mixes series is Vestibular Glow.

His musical journey started in 2020, during the first wave of COVID. Vestibular Glow learned DJing and production on his own and already in 2021 made  debut at the Ardor in Dnipro.

Personal genre arsenal varies from dark, melancholic and erotic motifs of EBM, Industrial, Darkwave, Minimal Synth to melodic, warm and contrasting New Wave, New Beat, Italo Disco, Synth Wave. By creating variance between genres with different moods, Vestibular Glow creates dynamics, emphasizes and reveals new corners of darkness and light.

As the release of Vestibular Glow's debut EP on Regulardisco is approaching - we took this opportunity to showcase the vision of the artist even broader.
Vestibular Glow is the alias chosen by Sviatoslav Nemchenko in 2021 to start his journey as a musician, debuting in his hometown of Dnipro. He learned to play the piano as a child, so when he later discovered electronic music, it was no surprise that he felt drawn to explore it. Sviatoslav believes that combining both dark and light elements in music deeply enhances the expression of any genre.
While DJing (and producing) he combines many genres - yet still forming a recognizable sound. He mixes EBM, New Beat, Post-Punk, Gothic Rock, Dark Disco, Acid, Synthwave, Minimal Synth, Darkwave, Coldwave, Indie Dance, New Wave, Electro, Industrial, Italo, and others - we guess that pretty much tells it all about how interesting and deep Sviatoslav's sets can be.
The mix starts off with the title track from the upcoming release "I Don't Give A Fuck" - and we can't wait to share it in full with you.

Svyatoslav Nemchenko aka Vestibular Glow —  an DJ and producer from Dnipro who currently based in Kyiv.

From a young age, he has been fascinated by electronic music, exploring genres such as New Beat, EBM, Italo Disco, Industrial, Electro, Acid, Post Punk, New Wave and various related styles. In his own material, Vestibular Glow reflects on the events occurring around him, combining elements of these genres to produce a unique hybrid sound.

In the seventh episode of the show, Sviatoslav explores dark and cold genres. A mix of esotericism, cold, and dramatic action, with touches of eroticism and the carnal, immerses you in the very heart of this dimension of body horror.

We are opening a series of DISK_D guest mixes played live with the recording of Polka's DJ set at the Kyiv Collider club on the 31 of December 2024. We chose it to open this series of mixes for its exuberance and energy, sincerity and skillfulness.

The next recording of the DISK_D Guest live series: Kim Kardashien (live) 002, was recorded at the Community Café on 01/18/25 at the DISK_D Experimental party. This is a duo that plays in the deconstructed club style. Music that is a response to the constant expression that everything has already been invented and played before us. It really is - played and made up, but now it is played in such a way that it is not immediately possible to understand what year and where the number is. In short, give these guys and yourself a chance, this is no ordinary industrial music, it's a truly special thing.

Vestibular Glow (Svyatoslav Nemchenko) began his DJ and production career in 2021 in his native Dnipro. His sound is shaped by genres with common cultural roots and time origins, and the classical piano school, which played a significant role in his musical development, only strengthened this connection. At the console, Svyatoslav strives to combine two emotional spectrums - dark and light waves of music.

From 2019 to 2024, he actively performed in Dnipro and Kharkiv, becoming a part of the events of the Ardor club, Spalah Rooftop, Cry Iva Bar, Torba Bar, as well as a multimedia event by the WONDERZ creative group.

At the beginning of 2024, Sviatoslav moved to Kyiv, where he made his debut as a producer in the Hybrid Moment collection and released his solo EP "I Don't Give a Fuck" on Regulardisco, establishing himself as a label artist in both projects. In the capital, his performances have been featured on Voloshka Radio, BRUXKT, 20ft Radio, HVLV, and Community Cáfe.

His productions cover a wide range of genres, including EBM, New Beat, Post-Punk, Electroclash, Dark Disco, Acid, Minimal Synth, Dark Wave, Cold Wave, Indie Dance, New Wave, Industrial, and Italo.

Beat Machine Records return with a percussive missive titled ‘Bantu’ that pairs local producer Maxwell Simons with the magnetic cadence of South African vocalist Richi Rich...On remix duties, ABADIR dives straight into the deep end with 'JOBURG'. His version plays like a lucid dream, cascading polyrhythms delve into outer orbit, while chopped vocal shards of Richi Rich hover like holographic spirits. By the time the amen breaks crash through, the track transmutes into something almost spiritual.

Maxwell Simons & Richi Rich - JOBURG (ABADIR Remix) [Beat Machine]

Meggist — це київський діджей родом з Харкова та співзасновник @observers.experience. Його селекція характерно наповнена електро та ламаними ритмами. Однак цей мікс особливий — він присвячений UK звучанню.

Запис був зроблений під час виступу в клубі Брухт у травні цього року. Meggist коментує: «Того вечора я досліджував UK-звучання. Я зіграв UK в своєму стилі - багато електро звуків, насичені мелодії та вокали різного тембру. Грувові бас-лінії та ядкі перкусії - це все створювало атмосферу того вечора»

Meggist is a Kyiv-based DJ originally from Kharkiv and co-founder of @observers.experience. His selections are characteristically filled with electro and broken rhythms. However, this mix is special — it’s dedicated to UK sounds.

The recording was made during a performance at the club Brukht in May of this year. Meggist comments: “That evening I was exploring UK sound. I played UK in my own style — lots of electro elements, rich melodies, and vocals of various timbres. Groovy basslines and sharp percussion — all of this created the atmosphere of that night.”

Цей мікс був записаний у рамках події "in-house" в стінах Community Cafe, де акцент був зроблений на Cold Wave. Мікс передає темно-тілесні ритми в межах таких стилів, як EBM, Acid, Dark Disco та інших, відображаючи особисте бачення клубної культури цього напряму.

Славко про свою музичну діяльність: "Для мене це — віддушина від буденності, джерело натхнення через динамічні басові партії, характерні ударні, а також неймовірно красиві лід- та пед-партії. Це моя інтерпретація та відчуття культури згоди, шкіряного вбрання, латексу, сексуальності та open mind течій. Vestibular Glow - псевдонім, що виник на концепції поєднання двох органів чуттів та темряви і світла. За допомоги вестибулярного апарату ми можемо надавати обʼєм простору та чути, за допомоги зору - бачити сяйво чи його протилежність, темряву".

OllyK @olha-korda — діджейка, продюсерка та матуся проєкту zabava, народжена у Львові.
Музична самоучка; вона виросла на енергії українського андеграунду й поєднала його з досвідом лондонської сцени. Її сети — це мікс басового техно, трансу, електро, ейсід та брейкбіту — завжди непередбачувані та емоційно заряджені.

Вона вже грала у знакових клубах Лондона (The Glove That Fits, Colour Factory…), Львова (Noir Nights, Ganok, Fader Bar) та Кракова (Secta Selecta).

“This EP was made after I realised that what inspired me most was to combine my love of electronic music with the music I enjoy outside of the club. I decided to collaborate with friends from a couple of my favourite bands, including Fay Milton (Savages) who provides live drums on Motorik Bush Doof Musik and Taigen Kawabe (Bo Ningen) who performs on I Never Cared That Much For Jungle. For me, having live instrumentation on the EP adds an extra depth to the tracks & has given me a vision of how to I’d like future releases to sound.
My fave track off the EP, Growing Up With Muscle Cars, is an homage to my step dad who repairs and restores old muscle cars. He also used to take me to the drags in my hometown when I was little. We would push the race cars out onto the track. Some of my favourite memz as a lil kid.”

Following an expansive discography of LPs on Warp from 2001 to 2017, the latest release from acclaimed British producer Clark sees him self-releasing an album for the first time on his own label Throttle Records. Titled Kiri Variations the fourteen-track album is an extension on his score work he produced for BAFTA-nominated TV drama Kiri back in 2018. Having delved into world of scoring for film and TV back in 2016 with the soundtrack for crime-thriller The Last Panthers, he's taken to the versatility of this type of work with ease. Clark's music, even if sparingly, has always had quite emotive themes and on Kiri, his use of piano, harpsichord, clarinet, strings, electronics and his own voice paints a wonderfully melancholic narrative. We caught up with Clark to discuss the work put into Kiri Variations, his performance at the Royal Albert Hall, the transitional two second 'holy points' in his productions and how producing music for horror films is one of the most satisfying things you could ever do as a producer. His Truancy Volume, a sonic extension of his recent scores, is a riveting tapestry of organic instrumentation. Incredibly coherent yet polarising at points, his embrace of recent acoustic sources can be heard throughout. Shuttling through haunting modern classical and folktronica to the trance-induced productions of Lorenzo Senni, it's an overlap of two circles both firing up emotion. As Clark puts himself  - "We live in a post-genre era, it's good to take advantage of that."
