Harry Hancock - oder DJ Mülltonne, wie man ihn in Dresden kennt - hat sich zurück in die Anfangszeiten des Palais gebeamt und ist mit seiner eigenen Version des Palais Sounds zurückgekommen. Ein mix zwischen Nostalgie vergangener Tage und entfernten Träumen einer vollen Palais-Tanzfläche, bis oben gefüllt mit sonnigen Vibes. Viel Spaß!

We're excited to release our very first podcast baby into the world! 
Harry Hancock - or DJ Mülltonne, as he's better known in Dresden - beamed his musical mind back to our first summer parties more than 6 years ago and came back his distilled version of the Palais sound. It's a mix somewhere between old days nostalgia and lockdown inflicted withdrawal symptoms of full Palais dancefloors, but 100% full of sunny vibes. Enjoy!

//Was bedeutet deine Musik für dich?//
Sie ist meine starke Kraftquelle und Ausdrucksmedium für meine Gefühle. Meist versuche ich ein Gedankenbild in meinen Sets zu transportieren und während des Auflegens und Tanzens entsteht dann eine Art Katharsis. 

//Woher nimmst du deine Inspiration?//
Ich mag es mit verschiedenen Rhythmen und Genres zu spielen. Dabei werde ich von verschiedenen Tanzrichtungen der Ballroom Culture beeinflusst. Ansonsten sind die Radiosounds meiner Kindheit 90er RnB, oder später die starken Raperinnen der 2000er für mich prägend gewesen. Auch Sets von anderen Flinta DJs sind für mich Inspiration.

//Was muss sich deiner Meinung nach an der Szene ändern?//
Ich habe den Eindruck, dass in Leipzig eine kühle „Techno-Ernsthaftigkeit“ herrscht. Ich wünsche mir einen wohlwollenden Umgang, mehr Offenheit für unterschiedliche Genres und Diversität in Line-ups. Außerdem noch mehr Safer-Spaces mit Awareness-Teams, sowie eine Stärkung von Queers, Poc und Flintas.
