After spearheading the first two releases of his own label, Juxta Position welcomes his first guest from outside into the fold.

An essential part of the very DNA of the Los Angeles techno scene, Adrian Sandoval layed his own foundations selling records and throwing his Modularz events before embarking in production activities during the middle of the first decade of the 2000s, which heralded the birth of his work as Developer and the Modularz label.

Fusing the sounds of the mid 90s with a more modern production style resulted in a hybrid sound which has made Developer a unique artist in the modern electronic music landscape.

On Failsafe 03, Developer delves a little deeper than his usual productions, introducing a slightly more melodic edged take on his signature sound

I-F Fuckin Consumer (DB69) released on Disko B Records

In the Netherlands some neophile named I-f was fed up with the same old techno 'movement'. This in mind he added some fairly unorthodox dimensions to this gathering, forever changing its course. With primitive electronic equipment I-f transferred sounds from the 80s to the here and now. And by chance, he landed a hit. "Space Invaders are Smoking Grass" is I-f´s entry to Electro-anthem status. Like Funk never happened. 

This is family fodder for dance crazes, for lovers of 'alternative' music, for the whole scattered techno community, as well as for the homelistener who likes to smoke a cigar when hearing 'strange' sounds on the sofa. I-f´s versatile approach to music can't be measured with just this one track. His first full length album on Disko B records proves the point. Fucking Consumer is pretty strong stuff. Electro-nix pure and clear. No nice recycled retro package. It's out of it, sails in its own universe, because it doesn't rely on others.

The overall mood is well-tempered, it seems to be playing along some sound history. Next thing you know, Fucking Consumer is exploding into bursts of noise - what a pleasure. Track by track I-f demands the attention of the listener anew. The final countdown occurs in a little gothic interlude with G.D. from L.A.'s Christian Death delivering the vocals. This Record was the start of a series of records by I-f (I-F – The Man From P.A.C.K, 1999, The Parallax Corporation – Cocadisco in 2003). There were massive records following this pioneer advance and a first clash on electro was done long before Larry T was dreaming of creating electro-clash.

Disko B wurde 1991 von Peter Wacha aka Upstart als Sublabel des Independent Labels Sub Up Records (F.S.K., Die Goldenen Zitronen, etc.) gegründet; damals noch unter dem Namen "Disko Bombs“. In den 90er Jahren zählte Disko B mit international anerkannten Künstlern wie DJ Hell, Acid Scout, I-F oder Dakar & Grinser zu den weltweit renommiertesten Labels für elektronische Musik. Im Windschatten der Disko B Struktur entwickelten sich um das Jahr 2000 herum auch das Künstlerlabel Chicks On Speed Records sowie DJ Hells Gigolo Records. Mit dem Signing von Künstlern wie Stereo Total, Console, Electronicat oder Schlachthofbronx hat sich Disko B im Laufe der Nullerjahre zu einem eklektischen Label entwickelt, für das keinerlei Genregrenzen mehr gelten.
