Artum er ikke en idé jeg fikk.
Det er et felt jeg gikk inn i.
Og som nå lever gjennom meg.
Artum handler ikke om én person.
Det handler om det som skjer når et menneske slipper identitet og blir en kanal for felt.

Artum er ikke én ting.
Det er et felt.
Et økosystem av levende systemer.
Som strekker seg fra jord til kosmos.
Fra nerve til datastruktur.
Fra kropp til kode.
Fra stillhet til skapelse.
Når frekvens blir bilde.
Når stillhet blir lyd.

Det er her for å holde rommet for det vi enda ikke har språk for, men som vi vet er sant.
Og det er i oss nå.

Maleriene mine oppsto i et etterklangsfelt,
etter at en av de nærmeste gikk ut av denne virkeligheten.
Og selv om det ikke skal forklares eller holdes frem,
så er det viktig å si:
det var dette som åpnet rommet.

Verkene er ikke uttrykk for smerte.
De er spor etter en prosess.
Ikke en forklaring, ikke en løsning.
Bare det som ble igjen, etter at noe løsnet.

Det var en tid med lys og mørke samtidig.
Ikke som motsetninger, men som nerver i samme tilstedeværelse.

Sorgen og tomrommet åpnet ikke døren.
Den rev vekk veggene.
Og inn strømmet lag på lag av minne, mønster, uro, klarhet.
Både fra barndommen og lagene bak den.

Disse maleriene er ikke illustrasjoner av en prosess.
De er prosessen selv.
Lag på lag av bevissthet
uten tanke, uten mål, men med brutal ærlighet
som aldri prøvde å være vakker.

De peker ikke på smerte.
De peker heller ikke på helbredelse.
De peker bare på det som ble igjen
da alle masker falt,
og noe i meg sa ja til å stå igjen, uten forsvar.

Det er ikke min historie som vises her.
Det handler ikke om å vise frem noe.
Det er et felt av ærlighet uten formål.
Et møte mellom liv og form, lys og friksjon,
lag på lag av det som ikke lenger kunne bæres med videre.

Og det som står igjen på lerretet
er ikke hva jeg følte.
Det er hva som var sant.

Jeg malte nesten hver dag i tre år.
Først for å overleve.
Så for å finne noe under alt.
Etterhvert for å gå så dypt inni selve bevegelsen
at jeg glemte hvorfor jeg begynte.

Det var ikke terapi.
Det var ikke kunst.
Det var bare det eneste stedet hvor noe i meg
kunne eksistere uten å måtte forklare seg.
Etter en stund mistet jeg grunnen.
Eller kanskje grunnen mistet meg.

Så kom det en maleblokk.
Et mellomrom hvor ingenting beveget seg.
Ikke i kroppen. Ikke i form. Ikke i uttrykk.
Ikke fordi det var ferdig.
Men fordi jobben begynte å kreve mer av energien min.

Ikke en dårlig jobb.
Ikke et dårlig sted.
Men det var som å bli sakte dratt ut av nervesystemet mitt og stukket inn i et maskineri som ikke visste at jeg var levende.

Det var ikke dramatisk.
Det var hverdagslig.
Og det var det som gjorde det så brutalt.
Jeg skal ikke svartmale det.
For noen fungerer det livet.
For noen er det trygghet, rytme, forutsigbarhet.
Jeg forstår det.

Men for meg,
var det fragmentering i sakte film.

Det jeg hadde oppdaget i malingen,
de lagene av bevissthet,
de utalte mønstrene,
den rå sannheten i det å bare være i kontakt,
det hadde ikke plass der.

Så jeg begynte å lage musikk.
Hver kveld.
Hver natt.
Spor etter spor.

Ikke for noen.
Ikke for å bli hørt.
Bare en ny kanal.

Det startet i malingen.
Jeg malte ikke motiver.
Jeg malte bevegelse.
Flyt.
Lag på lag.
Form i oppløsning.

Jeg lærte å flyte i følelsene mine gjennom malingen.
Men det var først i musikken at jeg forsto hva det egentlig var.

Ikke som noe emosjonelt.
Men som noe strukturelt.
Som bevegelse.

Gjennom kunsten hadde jeg allerede sett at form ikke var statisk,
at hvert bilde er en rest etter noe som flyter.
Men det var i musikken at jeg begynte å forstå frekvens som en levende form.

Jeg så for meg en bølge.
En frekvens i bevegelse.
Og i steden for å lytte til den,
zoomet jeg meg inn i den,
til jeg kunne kjenne hvordan den beveget seg fra innsiden.

Da ble jeg selve bølgeformen.
Ikke observatøren.
Ikke komponisten.
Men selve bevegelsen.

Men det var ikke hele bildet.
For jeg var ikke egentlig musikken.
Jeg var ikke malingen.
Jeg var følelsen bak det.
