Keepsakes, the alias of British-New Zealand producer and DJ James Barrett, has been a strong and distinctive voice in techno since rising to fame through his Stygian Concrete Works and Weapons Grade Manic EPs back in 2014. Since then he has showcased his powerful and menacing, yet often cheeky and playful, productions on influential labels including South London Analogue Material, Perc Trax, MORD, and Mindcut. Furthermore, he founded the Haven club night alongside Jaded Nineties Raver in Tāmaki Maraukau, Aotearoa (Auckland, New Zealand) in 2015 - aiming to introduce clubbers to the experimental and harder side of techno in a city completely devoid of this music. 
In 2018 Haven also expanded into a vinyl-focused record label - going on to release many leading international artists including VTSS, Tommy Holohan, New Frames, Peder Mannerfelt, Ayarcana, Ansome, and Ryan James Ford, as well as becoming the main home for Barrett’s own productions. Now located in Ōtautahi (Christchurch) - following several years in Berlin hitting the European club circuit - he is focused on bringing his tough and eclectic sound to dance floors worldwide, with regular appearances at international techno institutions providing a platform for his formidable vinyl DJ sets.

Crystal Geometry is the latest project from underground electronic music veteran, Maxime Fabre. Inspired by Post-Punk, Black Metal and Industrial, the French producer and live artist has returned to his roots, a crossover between the warehouse rave scene of the 90’s and industrial music, mixing EBM influences with hardcore Techno.
Centered around an ever-growing modular system, the project is based upon live improvisation with dedicated hardware, relentless hard beats and haunting soundscapes. Recognition of the project’s output has continued to penetrate the underground circuit, with a growing catalogue of high-impact productions, released across a number of labels; SARIN’s, X-IMG, Parisian imprint RND. Records, Spain’s Darkwave synth driven, Oraculo Records, Marseille-based Caisson Gauche and a debut album on Berlin-based Noise and Industrial label, AREA Z.

Welcome to the first edition of the Dissentient.Space Podcast. This podcast was created to be the opposing voice against the status quo of electronic music. The artists featured on this podcast are in a constant pursuit to oppose the standard of thinking and redefine limits that often plague production, selection and event planning in the electronic music industry.
Each podcast mix will be accompanied by a written interview with the artists to dig deeper into their history, creative process, career path, and ways of thinking that individualize them while inviting others around them to become involved through the use of radical inclusivity and community building.

This series will start with the musical duo Lund & Rønde from Copenhagen.  They are brothers Osvald and Aske (who share Lund Rønde as a surname) and they have been (and still are) deeply involved with the night life in the city as well as its burgeoning sounds.  They are part of several DJ/Producer organizations in the city and beyond: BunkerBauer, Fast Forward, Ismus and their own label V.A.L.I.S. (Vast Active Living Intelligent System). They are in a constant pursuit of building a better dance economy through their productions, parties and network of talented artists that join their crew.
