La lluvia cae sobre mí débilmente
y mi inquieto cuerpo la acoge con placer.
Un viento frío acaricia mi frente
y el cielo, poco a poco, empieza a oscurecer.

El mar, a pesar de tiempo, está en  calma
y sus olas, lentamente, vienen y van.
Todo parece tranquilo menos mi alma
donde reina una oscura intranquilidad.

Los recuerdos cabalgan por mi mente
y al cerrar los ojos veo un rostro angelical.
Entonces todo mi cuerpo se estremece
y, uno a uno, empiezan a desfilar.

Nostalgia, añoranza,
en mi pecho tenéis nido
y me hacéis sentir un frío
que paraliza mi sangre.
Nostalgia, añoranza, 
de mi pueblo y sus gentes
porque siempre están presentes
como estoy yo en sus paisajes.

Pero dentro de poco
correré por sus campos
y caerán de mis ojos
lágrimas que he guardado
durante ¡tanto tiempo!
para poder llorarlas,
a la par con el viento,
en sedientas moradas.

Despierto y veo que la noche ha venido,
que las sombras ciernen su manto sobre mí.
Un velo deja aislada en el vacío
a mi mente que, confusa, no puede resurgir.

NOSTALGIA

The rain falls on me weakly
and my restless body welcomes it with pleasure.
A cold wind caresses my forehead
and the sky, little by little, begins to darken.

The sea, despite the weather, is calm
and its waves slowly come and go.
Everything seems calm except my soul
where a dark unrest reigns.

Memories ride through my mind
and when I close my eyes I see an angelic face.
Then my whole body shakes
and, one by one, they begin to parade.

Nostalgia, longing,
in my chest you have a nest
and you make me feel cold
that paralyzes my blood.
Nostalgia, longing,
of my town and its people
because they are always present
as I am in their landscapes.

But soon
I will run through their fields
and they will fall from my eyes
tears that I have saved
for so long!
to be able to cry for them,
along with the wind,
in thirsty dwellings.

I wake up and see that the night has come,
that the shadows hang their mantle over me.
A veil leaves isolated in the void
to my mind that, confused, cannot resurface.
