Written about a Palestinian farmer I met who has had his olive tree fields burned by Israeli settlers in the West Bank. This song speaks of the hope that is kept by all communities that endure injustice of varying forms.

Dizzy Joan sits in a vacant room prior to his electric performance of the evening. Donning his signature tee-and-leather-pants outfit, he tunes his beloved guitar, Angie; comments on his lack of Tinder matches, despite looking quite similar to Demetri Martin; and runs through various lines he will share with his audience downstairs in a matter of minutes. 
 
"Rock and roll can be saved, but not through being a wallflower," says Joan. "You must be engaging. Get the crowd involved.
Make them feel valued for supporting live music – and your decision to wear women's clothing – and give them what they deserve: a show."
 
Over the years, Joan has earned a reputation of being a passionate lead guitarist and exceptional showman, equipped with an eccentric glam rock wardrobe, Mick Jagger-like dancing and self-deprecating humor. He has been labelled a Madison "open mic success story;" honed his songwriting abilities; shared the stage with prominent musicians including Los Angeles-based Ari Herstand, renowned R&B gurus The Charles Walker Band and The Voice finalist Nicholas David; auditioned in Hollywood for modern rock group Hillbilly Herald; and never lost sight of his dream.
 
He is more than a versatile artist available for hire; he is a leader in live performance.
