I'll be at Word Up Wednesday tonight at Grumpy's Underground with the homies Nelly Fresh and Graywolf from 10:30-11:30..then bc I'm a crazy ass, I'm heading to Boiling Point at St. Matthews Pub. I'll be playing from 12-1 With Mc Collaborator being the amazing host that he is. Next weekend me and my boy Pete will be at Earthfest! I play Saturday afternoon. Think I'll do a special summer vibes set..Stoked for it! We also have a special guest mix from DJ Glyde for you guys next week. Representing Bass By The Pound Chicago...BIG UP you guys! It turns out that Anita is hailing from NYC and REPRESENTING from Queens. All these years later and Anita is still killing it. I was lucky to meet this weeks guest (and one of these amazing people) when I went to play Renegade Sound in Gainesville a few moths ago. Please welcome CEDDIMO. He is one of two resident DJ's at Renegade Sound,  Darcii and Ced...They're on to something special. The attention to the craft of dj'ing and a deep passion for our music is held in high regard and it shows. I was fucking floored by his set. He ripped the roof straight off of that bitch. I met Corsa about one year into my Florida experience. We were playing a weird club (with an even weirder owner…Florida baby!)  in Daytona Beach. As the night was coming to a close, there was some unexpected time left so me and Joey decided to go B2B (3 for 3 like God intended) . Now when I go B2B with someone, I really throw it down. It's a battle right? I'm trying to make you regret ever djing (in a fun way if that makes sense) A few exchanges into our little battle I was like "HOLY SHIT This kid is keeping up with me!" Since that night, I think I talk to Joey at least once a day now. He's one of my favorite people in our little dnb community. As It turns out he's a lot of peoples favorite person. Just an all around great person. Always positive. Always willing to help. Always friendly. Gwan Joey! you're a diamond. ❤️💎

I met this weeks guest at EDC Orlando over the summer. I met him briefly before he played and thought he was such a nice dude. Then he got on the decks and fucking rinsed out EDC. It was impressive. That whole night was really special.

  He is a DJ and producer from Miami with musical roots that reach down to Colombia. His music and DJ mixes have been featured on BBC Radio 1, Drum & Bass Arena, Bassdrive, Flex.FM, SWU.FM and most recently on the Hospital Records Freshest Drum & Bass Spotify Playlist. He’s released music with labels such as Formation, Technique, Intrigue, CODE, Driven AM and Celsius among others and played on stages across North and South America as well as Europe and the UK and most recently was a featured artist on the DNB stage at EDC Orlando.
He is co-founder of Stank Love events in Miami.

Had to go no matter what. When I told our guest that I'd "see him there!", I Had no idea he was a friendly giant with dreadlocks. DARCIIDARKA is a Drum & Bass DJ originally from Burlington, VT who currently resides in Gainesville, FL. Darcii translates as ‘the dark one’ in French and over the years acquired the nickname Darka. In her earlier years she performed at underground raves, festivals and nightclubs all over New England and hosted several residencies. Within the last two years she has made waves in the southeast, sharing stages with LTJ Bukem, Bryan Gee, Jumping Jack Frost, Mampi Swift, DJ SS, DJ Craze, T.R.A.C., Aphrodite, The Prototypes, Matrix and Futurebound, FAVA, Dieselboy, AK 1200, Dave Owen, SOLA, Jaybee and Monk just to name a few. Representing the genre proper, she is the founder of the legendary monthly event ‘Renegade Sound’ at Signal in GVL and is resident DJ at both Signal and historic Simons. Making moves Darcii & Renegade Sound hosted the World of Drum & Bass 2023 Tour at Simons in Gainesville and several other events. Whether she is out playing shows or home recording mixes, promoting the genre or supporting her peers, she is extremely community driven and one of the hardest working artists in the state. I can't remember where I met this weeks guest or how I met her. Another proper legend in our little culture. Representing Turnstyle Records, the RVA, and  East Coast American Drumnbass please welcome     JOANNA O
  Joanna Oremland, also known as the DJ Joanna O. has been mixing music for ravers since 1998. She is a USA DNB DJ who has an infectious vibe both on the dancefloor and behind the decks. Her sound can best be described as soulful liquid vibes with a hint of jungle flavors. She prefers to “speak with her hands” by mixing well.

Her store Turnstyle, an all vinyl record store & street wear clothing boutique held down Virginia’s Capital City in Richmond from 2003 – 2016 with the freshest selections. Her FM Radio residency Frequency airs weekly on Saturday nights on 97.3 FM WRIR. The show has been a staple on the airwaves in Richmond since 2005. As an event promoter, she has worked tirelessly to support the community of DJs, performers, and dancers at some of the East Coast’s most renowned dance music venues and events. As a DJ, anyone who’s ever been on her dance floors can attest that her sets have always been pure fire.

Over the last two decades her hard earned mixing skills and supreme selections have earned her slots alongside many of today’s most inspiring drum & bass artists. Joanna delivers a  true voyage in sound that covers the full scope of Drum & Bass. With no chance of slowing down, Joanna will continue to spread the word of drum & bass through her mix series, radio shows, club & rave sets in Richmond and beyond.

One of my favorite parts of this show is getting to write everyones introduction. This one is special to me because she was one of our first regular listeners. In the beginning of this little experiment, I had no idea what people outside of my small friend group thought of the show, had no idea if it was resonating with anyone, I was just putting it out every week hoping someone out there liked it. This weeks guest let me know she was listening. It meant A LOT to me..it still does. After chatting with her off and on and finding out she was a DJ herself, I asked if she'd like to have her own episode of AJS. To my delight she said yes. Then she sent a mix that blew me away. For real, I was shook! I was like this kid?! Is mixing like this?! It was such an awesome surprise. I was on the socials the other day when I came across a flyer with NEONMYST on it! Opening for Dieselboy and Downlink no less. NEON is about to make quite an impact with a lot of people real soon and we couldn't be happier to host her mix here at AJS.
