1) Tell us a bit about yourself and your record collection.

I am a Dj, Graphicdesigner and Record Collector. My Collection has a wide
range of genres, from Downbeat, Drum and Bass and mostly Bootlegs and Mash
Ups. You´ll find a huge bunch of 7 Inches too.


2) 45/7 is all about celebrating the 7". Can you tell us a bit about what
you love about the format.

I always loved this format. Handy and good to handle in a club. Many
pressings have a clear and loud/powerful sound.
 
3) One hour of vinyl goodness... can you talk us through your selection for
your 45/7 mix?

Starting with some obsuce japanese cover version of nancy sinatras "my baby
shot me down", getting some more uptempo by playing some fresh and funky
tunes. Getting into a great single by beck (devils haircut) and finally
ending up in some post modern soul favourites.
 
4) Where can people catch you / listen to your music? 

You can catch me in Hamburg, playing at Barbarbar, Sommersalon or Minidisko

Civil Wars Promo Mix

This is the second installment of the Playdutshet series started by DJ Basic. At jams we like to play all kinds of records and not just the hardcore drum breaks, so we wanted to change the format a little bit this time around. For this volume, we decided to highlight the vocals that are often left out when DJs play breaks -- but still done in a manner for the bboys! So every song on here has some funky singing on it!



We also continued the funny "uncle" theme Basic and Sureshot started with the first mix to put a little bit of our Filipino heritage in our work. We also used the Russian neighbor singing karaoke skit as our entire basis for this volume, where everyone singing on the mix are guests at our family party (karaoke is a BIG staple at many Filipino parties). So, just a little extra flava to make things funny (Think DJ Qbert/Skratch Piklz/etc).
