Cyphon Recordings is a new label with one foot in the past and another in the present. The UK-based platform will pay homage to the formative electronic sounds of the mid 90s, whilst also looking firmly to the future in its ethos, music policy and roster.

Taking cues from electro, abstract electronica, IDM and Detroit-inspired futurism, Cyphon will present exciting new music filtered through the lens of that golden era of DIY home recording and bedroom production, which helped pave the way for electronic music today.

Though these influences will form the backbone of the label’s output, it will take a free-form approach to curation, remaining open to embracing far-reaching strains of electronic music that reflect the same attitude as their predecessors. 

Working with both established and emerging names, Cyphon aims to carve out a space for artists to create without boundaries or borders, whilst helping to support the artistic development of the next generation of producers coming up through the ranks. 

The visual aspect will also play a key role in the label’s mission. The physical and digital releases will be immortalised through eye-catching retro electro aesthetics that will bring life to the music behind the sleeves.

Cyphon’s journey is only just starting, buckle up and join the ride.
