After 30 years I didn't think Moontribe could reach a new peak, but we absolutely did with our 30 year anniversary Full Moon Gathering! The location was unreal, the weather perfect and the people brought so much love and dance floor energy, I was simply blown away completely! 

My annual super marathon closing set tradition continued and I gotta say, this one was my best one yet! I only made 2 mistakes which had me laughing in my head big time...guess I was just too busy paying attention to all the amazing people on the dance floor!!!! This is a deep journey into many styles and tempos, a ride from 3pm to 9pm, hot daytime into a super stormy sunset that whipped up the wind, brought a tiny bit of rain and even some lightening to really stir things up!!! Of course that happened right after I played the track "Eye Of The Storm" making things even more magical!!! WOW what an amazing time this was, I'll never forget it!!!

Moontribe Full Moon Gathering, May 2012. Aka Super Moon, as the moon apppeared 14% larger in the sky. It also happened to be my birthday. I couldn't imagine a better way to spend it.

I closed out the gathering with this long (2.5 hr) set. I had a grip of new & different material to work with, so it's a bit edgier in places than my typical sets, but it's one of my favorite DJ experiences ever.

Birthday Moon

This is my 2 hour set from Moontribe 26 Year Anniversary. I was mega stoked to play after Chirstian Martin and to be followed by Michael Be. It was a warm afternoon, and the misters were pumping keeping everyone cool. The clock struck 4:20 and on comes the dub. 

  I hesitated to upload this mix because I was dealing with a malfunctioning play button on one of the cdjs and a couple mixes wound up sloppier than I had hoped for, but... I'm over it. Time to share. I hope you enjoy this as much as I enjoyed playing it.

Artist/technologist David Sotnick has had the moniker “Divad Deee-Vice” for over 30 years. While it took some time to fully realize his potential, he has been a “D.J.” since birth and has always loved to share music.
