I went for more of a trip hop sound to my mix: being a big fan of Aphex Twin, Bjork and Portishead I felt this needed something special.  I speeded it up for dubstep and put a nasty bass sound to beef it up and make it original, and the vocals are messed up, and don't make much sense like Aphex did with some of his remixes.  I also used my own voice to repeat part of the lyric - adding a very personal touch to the mix!

Hans Zimmer - Time (DJ Dinamique's Lost In Time Dub Mix) [Satellite Empire]

Brothers Gerardo and Emanuel Cedillo aka Soul of Hex are making serious waves right now. Born and raised in Mexico’s infamous border city Tijuana the duo have been immersed in the underground house and techno scene DJing, promoting events, performing live sets on their trusty Elektron hardware, and releasing underground floor fillers for labels such as Quintessentials, Secret Crunch, CVMR and Dirt Crew as well as running their own Vicario imprint.  Most recently, they have not only established a new venue Marko Disco in TJ, but also a new moniker Mano De Fuego and release dropping in April on Underground Resistance no less!

 

Here on the ‘Mystic EP’ we find a little bit of that UR electro inspiration rubbing up against classic late 80’s US vocal house, crunchy disco grooves and driving Italo. ‘Love Is in Control’ features the vocals of Steve Lucas of Fusion Groove Orchestra/If Only I Could fame and elsewhere, we have vocal features from More Lotion and Temporal Wangan.  In theory, this could be a miss mash of pastiche ideas but in the hands of Soul of Hex the authenticity shines through and we’re presented with a brilliant 4 track EP which will appeal to electronic music fans and DJs across the board. Soul Of Hex delivering the good stuff once again!

DJ Dinamique is a French English DJ who loves mixing house, acid jazz, funky house, low tempo chillout and most of all UK Garage. He's been mixing for nearly 20 years, starting with 2 standard CD players and a little mixer he got in Tandy back in 1995. His first mix was a Prodigy megamix which although had not such a good beatmix, the ideas behind it were good.

Today DJ Dinamique likes to play with digital media, and uses mixing programs to mix his MP3s, as he couldn't afford to get into the vinyl side of it - as a teen he wanted to DJ like everyone else, but sadly as most of his materials were on CD that's the route he chose.

Dinamique loves UK Garage the most, with old skool mixes being his favourite style. Artists like Bump n Flex, US Alliance, Sunship and Matt "Jam" Lemont being his favourites.

Dinamique is currently working on his production skills, and has done a remix for Moby, Taiwan MC, DWilly, Major Lazer and Lucky Nicky just to name a few.  He is hoping that 2019 brings his best work out of him.
