[STUD038] Marx.P - Rooibosh

Nearly anyone can produce a “pack” today but not everyone can pull one shots that came right from the actual sessions used to produce a sold-out vinyl EP which was also played by DJs such as Andrey Pushkarev, Evan Baggs, Ryan Elliott, The Pornbugs of Bondage Music, Tm Shuffle & others. 

Royalty free one shots & sounds were hand picked and exported from the Ableton project files with EQ & other processing to give you that “mix-ready” sound. Think of this as the best of what Devilish Affair label boss made plus the current sounds he’s into.

Along with one shots from the “Adventures” EP he’s added many other chords, basslines, pads and textures with the gear he’s using now consisting of Elektron boxes processed through a Mastersounds Radius 4 Rotary DJ mixer with the Mastersounds FX unit. The FX unit is has several different flavors of delay & reverb perfect for dub techno.

The audio file was a raw recording from a Pioneer DJS 1000 so the demo files were not mixed/processed in a DAW. The raw recording was run through Landr automated mastering.

Burak Baban a.k.a Baban is a DJ/Producer from Istanbul, Turkey. Since his childhood. Baban’s interest to music has been intensely grow beyond interest to passion. He attended many festivals all around the world and this give him the opportunity to observe and listen one of his favourite DJs and producers on the scene. Within years, Baban’s passion to music grew and that lead him to start producing and DJing. His musical journey started as a club deejay in 2019 in his own city Istanbul where he also decided to produce electronic music.

Baban, likes to synthesize minimal sounds with jazzy, breaky flavours along with old- school hip-hop sounds. No matter the time of the day, his hypnotic and groovy sounds keeps people dancing on the floor. Baban delivers an unpredictable and harmonious
journey and always comes up with futuristic sounds.

He has had a steady stream of quality releases on labels such as Phonic House, Juuz Records and Outpunkt. He will be making the move to Adelaide soon so we welcome him and his dubby minimal style with opens arms. Hopefully we will hear this sound in the future at one of Adelaide's underground parties.
