Youth and Gaudi return with their long awaited second album, ‘Stratosphere’

The album is a cosmic psychedelic journey through the hyperspace and back by two wall-breaking out there artists/producers coming back together. Grammy Award winning producer Youth: highly respected music writer/producer, sonic pioneer, and founder and bassist of Killing Joke; and Gaudi: international dub master and maverick producer of note. Two bass leviathans duelling their way through sci-fi, psychedelic dub space... and the resulting album is truly a testament to the duo’s synergy.

‘Stratosphere’ is an alchemical showcase of spacious dimensions, a masterclass in weaving it up right and keeping it tight, with signatures and sounds from both pioneering producers, transmuted by each other into something unique and full of absolute joy and grooviness! 

Ear crunching, brain popping, bass dropping, feet bopping, heart pounding, life enriching, mind exploding, pulse racing, earth quaking - this album is of the future, but definitely not a stranger to past influences from this iconic pair.

In the past years I have been hosted, facilitated and held countless Ecstatic Dance Journeys ....

I started my Ecstatic Dance Journey in 2008 at the very beginning of the now famous Yoga Barn in Bali, then in 2016 I gave birth to the Sunday Mornings Dances at Pyramid Yoga in Koh Phangan and the Evening Friday dances in Jaran's.
Consistently started to record my sets (or almost) only in 2017/18.

I will try now to upload one every Saturday starting from those days ...... raw as they are (as I do not even re listen to them before uploading them!!)

Follow me in my Ecstatic Journey and let's see where we will end up ....
(to date ...with one set every week we will have more then 2 years to explore in front of us!)

Sandesh - The Ecstatic Journey n. 28

Last psychedelicious event we organized to raise funds for stolen equipment of 5-MeO-TAR crew. 

I am happy to say the crowdfunding is working and we are back on track! Not only we raised enough money to buy a replacement for what was stolen, now - we know - there is a significant group of people who want us to do the liquid light show again. Big thank to everybody who made this possible for your support. Be assured we feel touched and the whole crew is committed to prepare another psychedelic audiovisual extravaganza very soon! 

As for the music - it is mostly psybass, however the set is rather eclectic and groovy as there was a lot of emotions in the air. Enjoy that 1 hour as I did behind the decks. 

To everyone who was asking - you know who you are and you were quite a few - yes! I plan to upload some of the archive of my many recorded sets from the past here on soundcloud as I quit uploading on mixcloud for good. If I have to pay in order to share the music I love with you guys, I am going to do it here.

OKALM - Méditation d´hiver

My research has taken me across the world’s oceans, but I haven’t made it to the polar regions yet. I imagine them as the magical worlds where time is frozen and ice holds memories of the past. With climate change and melting ice these memories are fading away. Even though I haven’t been there, this recording evoked a strange feeling of nostalgia in me. Maybe in my previous life I was there, perhaps as a whale, which is why I chose to study them in this life. 
As a marine biologist and bioacoustician I worked with different species of marine mammals, focusing on their social learning, vocal communication and culture. The longest I spent studying the songs of humpback whales, which inspired two electronic music albums that I released. 
As an artist I find endless inspiration in the sounds from the ocean. It is the place which feels like home, but at the same time like another reality. To these mysterious polar sounds which are new to me I added some of my own recordings in order to capture this feeling of familiar yet strange and mysterious environment. I used lots of reverb and delays to represent the sound propagating through the ocean, and echoes of ancient times coming from ice. 
I hope that my composition with its enchanting sounds will inspire people to think about our impact on this planet and all its beautiful and fascinating creatures.

Edition 2016 was for the first time dedicated only to psybass, psychedelic chillout, psydub & psybient and similar vibe lasted until today. Enjoy this 2016 crunchy & groovy psychedelic selection of Mumukshu, Master Minded, Desert Dwellers, Kalya Scintilla, David Starfire and Whitebear!

Psychedelicious 2016 ━ psybass showcase

I finally post here a recording from the Ethereal Decibel Festival 2023! 
I may replace this audio with the 90min version when I get the chance.

This was a 5am set, so it was definitely out of my comfort zone to set up in the dark, after a sleepless night and carrying all my equipment around for the 12 hour trip (that damn guitar can be so heavy), so the result is not as clean as what I make in my cozy studio setup, but I will cut myself some slack. Regardless, it was a WONDERFUL experience and I thank the festival organizers and Arnaud who booked me. Also, what a beautiful stage the Nest is! 

I hope to be back soon with a deep slow techno act next time...! ∞
