This is a live recording of a set I played in the forest for Tropical's  Bring Love Back to Oregon Summer Campout in June 2022.

I was filling in on late notice for a DJ who was unable to make it, so this set is 100% on the fly. 

Wiggles were in order, as the lineup was all dance music - I had a lot of fun bringing my version of wiggles to this set.

Spring 2017, a live mix from a new friend's birthday party out in Joshua Tree. I had a specific request for energy and aesthetic to follow. Desert Nightcap

March Moontribe Full Moon gatherings are my favorite ones of the year. The weather is turning and people come out in celebration. At this particular gathering, as I began my closing set, the wind kicked up quite a bit and created a somewhat challenging environment in which to operate my gear, but thanks to the support of our community I persevered. This is most of the recording from that set, trimmed a bit to fit 2 hours.

Moon Mambo

October 2018, Moontribe Full Moon Gathering. Since I started playing at Moontribe in 2006, I haven't yet missed a set I committed to playing. For this gathering, I happened to be completely ill with a chest/head cold...apart from my set, I spent the majority of my time out in the desert huddled in my tent with a box of tissue and a kit full of cold meds. 

Standing up for close to 2 hours straight for my set, I just about fainted after I played my last track. But I made it! In honor of that moment, I am calling this one "Echinacea". Some gentle bass music, psychill, and other eclectic tunes that are pleasing to my ear and my brain.

Echinacea

Summertime pool parties - one of my favorite settings for playing music. This set was recorded at the tail end of one such party in 2018. The music had been more energetic all day and I started playing as the sun was setting, while the host started up the fire pit and the last of the revelers gathered around, not quite ready to head home yet. Gentle beats with a little more emotion.

Moondust

This is a set I put together for Bluetech's former Holotropic Happy Hour live stream Twitch show in November 2020. I was in suspense, as the rest of the world was, about the nation's election results when I mixed this, and the music feels like it reflects my mixture of hopes and fears.

At Last

DJ Maggie carefully curates the best of downtempo electronic into lush, playful and deeply replenishing sets that invite listeners on shimmering audio odysseys. Whether leading flights to the depth of the heart or the outer dimensions of the cosmos, Maggie pilots music masterfully as a multi-dimensional tool—for joy enhancement, energy boosting, community building, a safe space for retreat, a salve for helping heal pain, or a focus-enhancing medium to optimize creativity or productivity.

Evolving her own brand of intuitive sound at the legendary Southern California desert gatherings of the groundbreaking Moontribe Collective and other conscious parties and festivals, Maggie soon established a reputation for her heart-expanding sonic rides. This eventually propelled her into the path of her current collaborations with esteemed downtempo artist and producer, Bluetech (Evan Bartholomew) and their labels Behind the Sky and  Over the Moon. Her first compilation, a 2xLP entitled ‘Matters of the Heart,’ was released in June 2021 on Behind The Sky, and she began releasing through Over the Moon in October 2021.
