Spring is the season of beauty, rebirth, chaos and wonder. Every living thing is bouncing back, refreshed after a long hibernation - - and it’s crazy out there! As much as you want to drink in all the gorgeousness, the chaos of all that rebirth energy can really make your head spin.  

For us, after this particularly deadly winter in Brooklyn, Spring couldn’t be more welcome - - - - or more totally chaotic! So we made this set especially to provide a bit of peace amidst all the insane energy out there. Just press play and let the chilling vibes spread through your body, pour into your mind & melt over your heart like a sweet afternoon nap in the springtime breeze.

I was commissioned by yoga instructor Jessica Annand to craft two one-hour mixes for a yoga retreat taking place in July 2015 at Stewart Mineral Springs Retreat Center near Mt. Shasta, California. While I've played live during yoga sets before, this was the first time I'd created any in the studio. This is the first of the two. The word "Yitha" means "One" in the Karuk tribal language, indigenous to the region. There are gentle beats and expansive spaces in this mix, as per her request.
