i always thought Shawn was a lad who was mates with Milli Vanilli until I recently found out he was a she. I never liked the vocal mix so I only ever played the rather super Redzone dub, which I've edited here - hope you like it, NiPZ;)

I've wanted to remix this for a long time but didn't know how to approach coz it's such a huge anthem, meaning I would need to pull off an equally great remix.
I started messing about with the acapella in Ableton last week while listening to their Everybody track, which gave me the idea to use its bass line. Next I laid down some beats, got a little giddy and made the decision not to edit it, but to completely remix it from scratch.
Massive respect and props to the Shades Of Rhythm Crew : Kevin Lancaster, Nick Slater and Rayan Hepburn.
I hope you enjoy my interpretation ;)

The Shaker Song is a beauty of a track by DJ Trevor Fung and the accapella is of Little Louie going under the pseudonym of Freestyle Orchestra.
I used to do this mix out live and I have fond memories of one night at Hacketts, Blackpool.

Originally released as a white label on Fon Records (CAT# DJ FON T18) in 1989 then picked up by Warp Records (CAT# WAP4)and released in 1990.
The track was a produced by DJ Mink and Robert Gordon written by DJ Mink, Kid Carruthers and McDevitt.
I've edited it and added a few extra samples.
