Born in the East Bay Area, during the same year as the Diabolical Biz Markie’s high school graduation*, “The Heel” DJ 60/40 (Richard Jule) has spent 1/3rd of his life spinning that warm, positive and sometimes grimy “Golden Era” 80’s & 90’s music throughout Inner Portland. Along with playing the recognizable classics, he blankets them with lesser-known, swept under the rug jams to give that feel-good, big sister’s mixtape vibe. Regardless of where he’s playing, DJ 60/40 guarantees to keep the phunky phantoms alive through two turntables.
