Ashen Vinushka was born in Galle, Sri Lanka in 1998. His love for Organic and Progressive House sparked his desire to become a DJ.

Originally from Miami FL, Rick began to DJ in '87. A decade later, he was introduced to House music while living in Atlanta. He was a resident for Starchildren, who had a long standing Friday night residency at Club Sol. He became a local favorite and was asked to work at Satellite Records, under Tommy Sunshine, where he held a part time job for several years. After a small hiatus and a move to Denver CO, he started a family and has now returned to his passion. His new mix series, "Unwind Your Mind", is influenced by the desire to be able to put aside your daily troubles and enjoy some music therapy. I'm just a small-town Canadian boy who loves music.

I started listening to electronic back in 2000 after my brother lent me some CDs for the summer from Sasha & Digweed, Moby, and Orbital. I got into the dance scene shortly after and found a strong connection to trance with DJs like Armin van Buuren, Paul van Dyk, and Ferry Corsten, while making some incredible friendships along the way. 

My first attempts at any kind of mixing were late-night vinyl sessions with my roommate listening to some classic trance and house and eventually putting together a simple set-up on my Mac to make some mixes for my commute. I’ve always liked the idea of being able to create a sort of soundtrack to my day-to-day and admire my friends who’ve made a career out of it as they bring such a positive impact to the lives of so many. 

I’ve spent the better part of my adult life abroad - first in China and now in Italy - and music has always been something that keeps me grounded and focused.

With dance music roots that stem from a love for 2000s trance and techno, Texas-born Andrew Pinkowitz turns lifelong curiosity into creative opportunity by diving beyond the static noise of daily life into the deeper textures of organic house. Pinkowitz’s productions blend the ethereal and the melodic, creating dynamic dancefloor explorations of darkness and light. Digital life in the pandemic age brought about his first release, a collaboration with Mexico’s Ricardo Angeles released on Sound Avenue in 2022. That track, “Hidden Pathway,” was followed by entries on Nordic Voyage, Keyfound, 3rd Avenue, Amulanga, and The Purr. His work has received support from the likes of Hernan Cattaneo, Eli Nissan, Fernando Ferreyra, Death on the Balcony, and artists around the globe.

Closer to home, Pinkowitz is a collaborative leader in the lush landscapes of Colorado’s rising melodic house scene as a member of the Sky Terrace Collective. On the decks of Denver’s Club Vinyl, Mockingbird, and The Church, he fashions discourse from downbeats, combining danceable favorites with uncommon treasures and samplings of works-in-development. Pinkowitz’s affinity with audiences forms compass points in sonic journeys that have led to supporting Lee Burridge and Durante - which guide his path toward innovation and evolution in the years to come.
