The Smalltown sound is fun bass-heavy house music, combining the spirit of Canada's outdoor electronic music festivals such as Shambhala & Bass Coast, with the sound they cultivated at the legendary Hifi Club in Calgary (which they owned and operated). In 2025 they are releasing music on DirtyBird, Rules Don't Apply, Box of Cats and more.  

They've played shows across the globe including Fabric in London & U-Hall in DC, and Bestival in Toronto. With highlights that include appearances on Diplo & Claude Vonstroke's radio shows, a one-year stint in Las Vegas, the yearly Mountain Magic Tour with Christian Martin (of Dirtybird) and friends, and their collaboration with Shad & Wax Romeo "Boom Ha" being featured in the HBO show "Girls". 

In 2025 they have a ton of new music on the way!

DM - bass duo from Koenigsberg. It's the new name for the bass scene, but not without production skills. Experimental, strange & classic tear-out breakbeat from russian western europe.

Andrew Lynch has been playing Breaks & Drum&Bass for ove10 years now, getting his first gig in London's infamous squat party scene, playing his friends records in warehouse on the East Side near Kings Cross. Andrew soon became well known for his wild stage presence, comedic humour...and yes he did buy his own records, and soon moved back to Victoria.
Andrew's sets are heavily influenced by Hip Hop and his sound is what he calls "Shit That Makes Your Ass Move!"a mix of Booty Breakz, Nu Skool Breakz, Big Beat,Funky Breakz. & Drum&Bass.  And Andrew has brought this perfect mix programming, style, and his personality to the sweat drenched dance floors of Hush and Sunset Room playing with some of the BC's best Including Czech, , Neon Steve, WAX, Beatjunky, Westerly (WestWes), Jon-E Industry, Carson, Mykee, Briden, Happyfeet and Tom Nemesis. And Andrew is a favorite in BC's lively outdoor rave scene. Andrew has now started to produce his own music when he is not writing about himself in a 3rd person point of view, so you can expect some homemade weapons of mass destruction be played out in the near future.

Specifically, we wanted to track our favorite artists, search upcoming local area events, and listen to music samples from a variety of electronic music genres.  We wanted to visit one website for all of our electronic music informational needs.  The Untz was created to fill this void.

The Untz connects the entire electronic music community of fans, artists and promoters.  The website is designed to allow artists and promoters to add information and music.  We organize all of this information so fans can easily search for, track, and share it.
