DJ Basilisk presents UROBOROS 1, an extraordinary journey through underground electronic music of the last decade. Featuring more than 130 tracks and clocking in at slightly more than 8 hours in length, this unusually ambitious mix spans an immense range of styles and approaches. An emphasis on smooth, harmonic mixing and dreamlike, hypnotic selections creates a sense of perpetual motion and constant onward travel even as genre boundaries are dissolved.

It begins in the darkest depths of bass-heavy ambient, picks up steam while churning through electro, IDM, and experimental breakbeat, eases into the groove with melodic and progressive house, kicks up dust with driving peak-time techno, reaches several shimmering highs with euphoric progressive trance and hints of Goa, slides downward into deep house and dub techno, and gently drifts back to earth in an extended chill out session, ultimately returning to a vast droning emptiness. As the name implies, this uncommon sonic odyssey also forms a loop, one of the basic building blocks of electronic music, as well as a universal symbol of destruction and rebirth.

Frankfurt based producer Gabriel Le Mar was somewhat of a machine. With eight aliases to his name, with Gabriel Le Mar being his main, he has notched up an impressive fourteen studio albums dating from way back in 1999. While releases have been more sparse over the last couple of years, he resurfaces on release #130 for Lucidflow. There are certain motifs that are absolutely key for Gabriel - dub, deep, soulful, energetic, minimal - all which make up the 'Luminous' EP. However while the dub influence is obvious, it is the subtle harmonic nature that acts as a gel across the tracks. 
'Among Trees' is driving, almost proggy thanks to the low murky churning chords, and absolutely honed in on the dancefloor with acutely measured rushes and drops. After this 'In2 The Blue' weaves together several strands of melody - single echoing chords, light staccato beeps, resonant chords - into a single hypnotic whole. Then 'In My Head' finishes as the most typically Lucidflow track of the trio, lower in tempo and more fully fleshed in the low end with a little acid seasoning to embellish the flavour.
Marko Fürstenberg takes a break from incredibly successful outings on youandme's Rotary Cocktail and Ornaments imprints to turn in a remix of 'In2 The Blue'. It is shade darker in every respect with the harmonic bounce altered into a more eyes down moment, leaving more space for the imagination to get to work in.

March 14, 2020, Panama forbidding all public events and gatherings due to unfolding worldwide pandemic, we are at ongoing Tribal Gathering festival far away from the capital and civilized world news, rumors and speculations, cancellations plus stomach virus circulating on the site ....but the party is going on and nothing can stop it...
Some of our artists are sick and it limits their abilities to perform pushing us to extend the planned sets and make changes, Yuta ( Liquid Drop Groove/ Tokyo) - doesn't need an introduction, he is real DJ who spins real DJ sets without any preparations, he takes over a slot before his original timetable in order to keep the party going without any interruptions and plays 3hours and half magnificent techno set, consisting of some of the finest beats and atmospheres out there, showing his real masterclass DJ skills and sharing his refined music taste and selection. Here is the last 1h30 minutes cut of it, that includes an extra bonus last 30 minutes of complete DJ techno freestyle on the decks. One of our favorite DJs when it comes to deep techno, great friend and partner who flew form another side of the planet to the jungle to make us dance and travel into the imaginary world of our subconsciousness. Basilisk is a veteran multi-genre DJ, co-founder of the psychedelic techno label @Techgnosis-Records alongside @benramamusic, founder of the iconic @Ektoplazm free music portal and label group (including Ektoplazm, Drumlore, and Omnitropic), lossless audio enthusiast, and dedicated archivist and electronic music curator. Originally hailing from Toronto, Canada, he is now based in Taipei, Taiwan.

Psytrance, techno, electro, house, trance, acid, breaks, bass, IDM, ambient—you name it, I probably spin it. My mixes fluidly combine different genres into harmonic journeys that defy convention. I encourage you to browse around and get lost in some of the many sonic microcosms I have meticulously curated over the years. Nearly all mixes posted here are available for download on my homepage.

I am open to invitations to provide guest mixes in a variety of styles as long as the details are interesting. Drop me a line if you have more reach than I do, just be sure to articulate your concept!
