The Streets - Who Got The Funk? (BigMac's Got The Funk Edit)

Downplay is proud to welcome back Jack Selecta to the label for the producer’s sophomore release, ‘Visions’.

‘Ends’ centres around a cheeky sample extolling the widespread nature of the scene’s culture across the country, wrapped up in a tight 2-step framework. Chest-rattling bass and sugar sweet strings complete the composition for a future-proof UKG roller.

‘Original Pirates’ follows a similar pattern at a higher tempo, with a track that packs a lot of pure energy into it’s running time. Soaring chords and chopped female vox ride the topline across a bubbling bassline and skittering drums for maximum impact.

‘Visions’ will probably be the track that you’ll hear shelling raves up and down the country the most though, a certified banger that pours all of the producer’s technical proficiency into a 4x4 monster with a bassline so juicy it will get you pregnant on contact.
