Label boss DJ Bone mans the controls for the 38th release on Subject Detroit, laying down a typically fierce, three pronged auditory attack. "What He Said" tactfully yet forcefully treads the line between house and techno, cherry picking physiognomies from each side of that ever-blurring line and constructing something fresh but bristling with familiar Subject Detroit elegances. A favourite fixture from Bone's more recent DJ sets, "I Do" sees bubbling, arpeggiated chords simmer and swoop from foreground to background loosely as one solitary, remanipulated ticking hat keeps things in formation. Watch out for the thunderous, doubled-up drum arrangement that crashes in to the picture out of nowhere! Meanwhile "Rhythm Soul Funk" is a genuine hard hitter and another that tiptoes between the old school and the nouveau.

Anyone who has experienced a Mark Broom techno session will know full well that as well as bean famous for deploying the harder persuasions of his adopted genre he also has a way to maintain an energy and vibrancy that can drive a room at any portion of a night. Even in the final hours when energy reserves are typically spent, he is pretty damn apt at locking in listeners to any dancefloor he has charge of. An integral part of the UK's techno story Broom began his journey in the early 90's inspired by the emerging sound of Chicago and Detroit, he then went onto lend his own take to the style going onto release across some of the world's most respected imprints, Mo'wax, Warp, R&S included, over the last two decades and becoming a firm part of his home land's pioneering scene. Earning the respect of those that first inspired him, Broom has also spent this year alongside Robert Hood as part of his 20 Years of M Plant tour - a compatriot he will be joining in Room Two this November. In anticipation of this huge Detroit - UK hook up Broom has recorded an exclusive promo mix to show us what he's filling his sets with at the moment the perfect anticipation builder for the night ahead...

On form like this, we have to wonder whether Gmorozov is any longer content with being our own private techno slave.

For months on end the Russian producer would be locked away in the dark, decrepit Bad Life dungeons; gagged, bound and lonely. His only life's pleasure was the occasional morsel of gruel he would be afforded when he could muster enough energy to engrave the midi notes of a red-hot, heads-down techno cut into the cold, stone walls.

The wonderfully unique vocal techno EP Forever shows him now demanding more from life, asserting his claim as a genuine electronic artist; a real contended and not just another producer. Haunting vocal techno like this is very, very ambitious indeed. What's perhaps scarier, is how well he pulls it off.

By rights, we reckon Gmorozov deserves a shot at the big time.

Citizenn threads the final narrative to his critically-acclaimed debut album released earlier this year with ‘Lady’ featuring the beautiful vocals of Aisha and accomplished remixes from Kerri Chandler, wAFF and Francisco Allendes.

Pulling the track into new territories are remixers Kerri Chandler, one of house music's true icons and legends, wAFF (Hot Creations / Drumcode / Cocoon), who is a core part of new UK techno fraternity and esteemed Chilean techno producer Francisco Allendes (Desolat / Cadenza / Andes). A great set of remixes that compliment the original perfectly.

Drawing on the vibe from the residencies he had coming up. Bone’s idea is to have top quality music from the first song to the last song. It’s not going to be the artist’s regular set; it's going to be people bringing their A game. Different styles outside their usual vibe. Taking the interment, friendly feeling of bringing people into his living room that was created at the original FURTHER
and turning it into a house party. RADION’s multiple rooms and layout allows for us to create the old warehouse feel of a different mood in different rooms whilst not losing the intimacy which makes FURTHER unique.

The mastermind alongside manager and Wife Ahnne Araza, DJ Bone’s role will be mixed, whether opening or closing the party, or not performing at all if he does not fit the vibe. He will be omnipresent with the careful curation of each monthly show. With RADION offering a blank canvas to create their vision.
