Originaire de Bordeaux, Ape Man est un artiste français à vocation internationale. 
Au lycée il se tourne vers le rap et pratique cette discipline exigeante qui lui permet d’éprouver son penchant pour l'écriture. Il se distingue par ailleurs du reste du groupe en utilisant le chant dans ses morceaux.
 Sous l'influence de genres musicaux très ancrés, dont les figures de proue sont Ray Charles et Stevie Wonder, le chant devient alors son instrument de prédilection. Il ne cesse cependant d'expérimenter les genres et de vivre des expériences musicales riches et variées. 
Il est notamment à l’initiative du groupe We Were Animals qui écume les scènes bordelaises et rencontre un succès qui l’encourage à poursuivre sa voie.
 Artiste inclassable dans un paysage musical qui tend à une certaine standardisation, Ape Man surprend par l’efficacité et la musicalité de son œuvre. Le timbre de sa voix résolument soul et son affection pour les jeux de questions/réponses flirtent avec des mélodies entraînantes qui ne manqueront pas de vous faire voyager. 
Il revendique une musique populaire capable de réunir toutes les générations.

He specializes in Hip Hop, R&B, Reggae/ Dance-Hall, old-school, and House music. He has acquired much of his experience through various events and venues such as weddings, clubs, bars/lounges, anniversary parties, college events, fashion shows, and corporate events. Expertise Include FM Radio, and Satellite Radio (88.9 FM Oswego New York, Sirius XM Satellite Radio: Shade 45) As of 2018, DJ Chase has began a new journey into beat production. Sky's the limit!
