DJ CHiEF’s Instant Cipher is the first in a series of EPs showcasing CHiEF’s unreleased secret breaks alongside published tracks that you know and love. 

This first episode of DJ CHiEF’s Instant Cipher features tracks that emulate early Hip-Hop in production style, with raw, imprecise and sometimes off-beat rhythms composed of drum and instrument samples that will have you scratching your head to figure out where they came from. 

For “Love to the Breaks”, the classic loop from “Love to the World” by LTD* gets ripped to pieces and thrown down on the dance floor for whoever wants to pick it up, but be careful… it’s hot! 

“Sing Simple” is another example of a classic break, in this case “Sing a Simple Song” by King Herbert & the Knights, being stripped down to its components and reassembled for a nasty cipher session, and this one has never been heard yet by anyone except for DJ CHiEF and his cat!
