Marco Resmann (Upon.You Berlin) Biography

Berlin. The mid 90s. The home and the heart of electronic music with its flourishing scene embracing all kinds of genres from Techno to House and beyond, with tapes on circulation, regular radio shows and an annual climax named Loveparade.

Brought up on this wide ranged diet of electronic sounds Marco Resmann started to work on what should become his profession of the future. Led by his neverending love for House Music he stepped up on stage, eventually started to promote parties and built his Audiogain studio where he continuously honed and refined his production skills on analogue gear.

Soon this steady work paid off in form of a first release on Martin Landsky's Intim Recordings as well as other highly acclaimed 12“es under his former artist alias Phage. Around this time in the mid-noughties Marco Resmann also became part of the production force named Pan-Pot which redefined the trippier side of Minimal Techno in these days. 

Apart from these projects, it was another fruitful collaboration that was meant to last. After meeting and immediately clicking with Norman Weber they started to DJ together on a regular basis before they joined forces in the studio, establishing their project Luna City Express as a main project of Moon Harbour Recordings with numerous EP's, Remixes and a widely praised album named Hello From Planet Earth, all of them providing tasteful, open minded House Music from Germany.

Backed by this experience and an excellent reputation as a DJ Marco Resmann joined the world famous Berlin-based Watergate club as resident in 2006 and has played countless nights in this hallowed space ever since as well as graced the tenth anniversary volume of the Watergate Mix-CD series with a flawless tour de force ride through his personal club favorites and anthems in February 2012 – a mix that can be considered a milestone in his remarkable career so far. 

As solo producer his discography includes acclaimed remixes and releases on imprints like Watergate Records, Upon.You, Poker Flat and the Brazilian imprint Warung Recordings, all of which are serving a unique fusion of House and Techno with a recognizable twist and a love for detailed, complex arrangements.

But there's even more to Marco Resmann than being the expert producer who fully masters his craft and DJ who is playing out to devoted crowds on a regular. Hosting Upon.You label nights at Berlin's famous Panorama Bar for six years has played an essential role in Marco Resmann's approach towards extended DJ sets with whom he pleases crowds all over the globe – from German festival sites like Fusion and Melt! to internationally renowned venues like DC10, Upon.You showcases all over Europe or the big 20 Years Watergate Brazil tour which took place in Brazilian superclubs like Surreal Park, D-Edge, Cultive and many others. Not to mention upcoming tours in Australia, Mexico and, again, Brazil where he is greeted by an especially dedicated, loving followership whenever he touches down in this part of the world.

As co-founder of the Berlin-based Upon.You Records, one of the major forces in the international club scene since 2007, Marco Resmann has been spotting upcoming talent and consistently invested dedicated, straight-up work in the house he and his labelmates have built.

With his most recent release „Box In A Box EP“ which will be released on his own imprint end of November - it's quite right to say that Marco Resmann is going stronger than ever, armed and fully equipped for an amazing 2023 to come. Watch out!

Né sur les cendres du projet Gaetan Breton, KISSING TOADS s’apprête à sortir son tout premier album, inspiré du continent américain et de ses sonorités. 

Formé de cinq crapauds au lourd passé musical, ce nouveau groupe suisse romand vous présente néanmoins un disque frais et naïf, qui vous explique pourquoi on peut tuer pour son jardin, détester les avions, ou encore ne pas se montrer trop jaloux quand il s’agit de la femme d’un autre. 

Et si KISSING TOADS, par un jeu de sociologie carambar, vient dire le désarroi de la gente féminine perdue dans l’attente illusoire de la transformation d’un crapaud, la musique, elle, parle bien d’un rock à l’esprit définitivement pop et parfois vintage, parcourue d’embruns mélancoliques et d’âpreté sonore  produite et mixée par Sam Chapuis ( rambling wheels, 120 secondes, macadam dive, Olivia Pedroli ).

Kissing Toads : une référence sociologique à l’habitude viscérale et instinctive souvent observé dans la gente féminine d’adopter des crapauds, avec l’espoir d’ensuite profiter d’une transformation.
Transformation qui évidement se fait plus qu’attendre, bref, rien de franchement nouveau chez les humains.
Ou alors si, ce cri, pour dire à l’inverse la disqualification automatique des princes charmants qui osent s’afficher, et qui ajoute encore à l’incongru des rencontres entre les genres.

Tout un poème donc, pour un groupe de rock à l'esprit définitivement pop, et aux sonorités parfois vintages.


Nora Bora is an energetic, lively Djane, that comes from the heart of
Slovakia – its capital – Bratislava. She has lived in Prague for a
while, where she arrived in order to meet the Czech electronic
underground scene.  You can see her performances on well-known Czech,
Slovak and Swiss club stages since 2011, after she returned from
Florida, USA, where she had the opportunity to get her first
experience in DJing. She gained experience on the scene in New York,
Fort Lauderdale as well as in  the city that never sleeps - Miami. At
that time she had a chance to try and spin turn tables in Green Island
and Exit 66. Today you can see her on stages with famous Czech, as
well as foreign names like Sophia Watkins,Mia kaltes,Clara
Bailar,Ladee Jane,Dj Agent,Rif Raf,Uto karem and many more important
producers. Djane Nora Bora is an open-minded listener too, dedicated
to DJing heart and soul. You can listen to her releases under the name
of Stream,Autumn,Love Berlin on her Soundcloud sites as well as here,
on her websites. She is gradually working on her own production and on
the release of her own label, to which all of us are really looking
