It's that time again, when it is time to take give serious attention and be prepared for a total stormer being handed to you. This time we are as excited as ever, to bring back some musical goodness from 21 year old US bound producer, the one and only Sedi! So many positive words have been said about this producer over the past 2 and a half years when he's been doing music production, and it won't stop today, that you can be certain about. This time he brings on a SUPERB 2 track EP with us here on PHW, and we must say, both us on PHW and Sedi himself says it is his best work up to date. You have now been warned about what is to come! This superb journey flies of in style, with an original baptized "Zzyzx". What you are to witness here, is nothing less than a brilliant production from the youngster, and it is for us, among a lot of others, something that we believe will be spun for a long long time all over the world. With his amazing vocal chops, super hot basslines and overall superb melodies and textures, this progressive trance production that we together with Sedi himself has some really high hopes on to rally the charts, is nothing less than stunning. The 2nd original coming up from Sedi, "Skyscraper" is another pure bliss production. You will definitely hear his trademark bass grooves jumping in and out of your ears.

It's with great pleasure we bring on a bunch of new members to the PHW family, both on original work and on remix work. This time we are to bring on a fresh progressive production from dave Murphy, a producer that is on the verge of a breakthrough on the progressive scene, and we think "Starting Point" could be the track doing it for him. With a driving chord progression erasing throughout the production. We feel his rare talent to work around the melodies has given us something really special here, let's hear your thoughts on this one. First out on remix duty is the Enhanced exclusive producer from Norway, Jaco, that's been able to squeeze in with a remix for us as he couldn't refuse this one when hearing the original idea. Next up is another newcomer on our PHW imprint, and we are thrilled to present you the Russian producer, known from Round Triangle and NRG Dance Records to mention some, of course we talk about the talented Nikolay Mikryukov. With a slightly more laidback interpretation coming here, you will have a full bloom melodic monster coming right at you, be ready to hear some more gifted music from the Russian. The 3rd and final remix comes from a regular on our label, and we are thrilled to have Kamil Mokrzanowski aka Squeezer Of Tears back with us once more, with his clever production. This is just pure mint to be honest, and we would never ask for more, pure melodic progressive music, made for melodic fans!

It is time to welcome a bunch of new names to our PHW imprint, and we are thrilled and excited to unleash the young UK based producer, Jordan Hubbard and his Mathaden moniker. Being a name, that’s been seen more frequently the past 6 months, he now brings on another top notch production with us on PHW, called “Serene”.The youngsters true talent to build melodic hooks shines through here, when he unleash this melodic monster.On remix duty, you will face 3 different remixes from friends around us. First up is a newcomer on PHW but definitely not on the progressive house scene. Being a part of the well-known producing act Answer42, it is with great pleasure that we have tied up a pure mint production from the always stunning Nap’Till Nine, also the owner of the great Dutch label NRG Dance Records.He brings on some fabulous chopped vocals, a groovier rhythm and an overall tasty interpretation with great textures and smooth harmonies built together, stunning work.The 2nd remix comes from returning artist and someone we are truly happy we gave a shoot some time ago when signing his first record deal to our record label, PHW. Nico Schinco is a name that is here to stay, we are so certain of that and we will continue to have him on the label and help him build his reputation. With his crisp sound design, this time with great pads and super smooth plucks, he takes on Jordans original and builds a great re-take of some of the ideas to his own, we are hooked.The 3rd and final remix comes from another young producer, based in the US. Adam Dopierala, more known from his Airdrop alias, has joined us to bring his touch on this magic ride. We can’t say anything less than that we feel he has succeeded without a doubt.Bringing on the full artillery of melodic hooks and arpeggios, he for sure gives us a great journey here. A smooth bassline works well in addition to them, and with crisp and punchy kicks, he for sure has nailed it for us, and we feel we have a strong as ever package ready for you through PHW, go get it!

‘Word of Mouth’ is the October released debut album from the tireless Leftroom Records boss and 
producer/DJ, Matt Tolfrey.

Featuring a rich selection of talent, from the relatively new such as James Teej, Jem Cooke and 
Kevin Knapp, to legends like Marshall Jefferson and Ya Kid K, ‘Word Of Mouth’ is a return to the feel 
of classic house albums of old where collaborations with vocalists, engineers and mix engineers 
were worn as a badge of honour.

Matt Tolfrey is a fixture of modern house music that can feel a definite sense of pride over his 
achievements. Once a young upstart who was championed by DJs as diverse as Craig Richards 
and Pete Tong, he’s now a mentor to many via his various Leftroom imprints while still retaining the 
obsessive and energetic enthusiasm for music and it’s machinations.

A recording artist who has released on Cocoon, Rekids, Crosstown Rebels, Saved, Culprit and 
more, Tolfrey’s touch in the studio is undoubted but with ‘Word of Mouth’ we’re treated to a unique 
insight into his influences, working methods and what makes him tick. 
'I cannot play the piano and I am not professionally trained in any way musically, but through years 
of DJing I know exactly what I like, and I have great tracks in my head that need to get out. While 
searching the Internet for alternate ideas of making music, I came across some amazing software 
that enables you to simply sing or hum into a mic, which then translates into midi notes, which you 
then use as the basis of your tracks. In essence, it means that while I am walking the streets, or 
away travelling, and I come up with an idea for a bassline, or a melody, I can simply record it into my 
phone, return home, and sing it into the computer. In other words, ‘in theory’ the album is mainly 
going to be written with my mouth, not my fingers, and then fully realised with the help of engineers 
and guest vocalists - hence the name ‘Word Of Mouth’.

From opening cut ‘Encarta’, it’s obvious that ‘Word of Mouth’ is Tolfrey wearing his influences 
proudly. Any fans of 1990s deep house can feel the soul of classic British deep house imprints like 
Paper and DIY Discs (the latter notable as a heavy presence in Tolfrey’s beloved Nottingham during 
his University years), albeit with subtle and respectful modern twists.

Dubbed in places (‘The Truth’ with Marshall Jefferson), electronic in some (‘Never Assume’ with 
James Teej) and direct in others (‘The Spooks’ with Kevin Knapp packs a real, penultimate-trackpunch), 
‘Word Of Mouth’s continuing theme is elegantly employed melodies regardless of tone. A 
listen that drags you through from opener to the sublime, broken closer (‘Not So Little’ feat Kevin 
Knapp), ‘Word of Mouth’ is a mature, masterful debut from a cherished UK talent.

With the release of his second track you can tell that young Dutch producer Vincent Leijen is going to make his mark on the house and techno scene. Inspired by German artists like Stephan Bodzin his music is both spacey as highly danceable, and is the perfect tune for some very special moments. The production skills from the young gun from Arnhem are of high standards. That’s why it wasn’t too hard to find some class-A remixers to complete this record. Amateur did an amazing job on the previous release of Little Globe Records and again he delivers an acid house bomb that is out of this world. If next to that even NT89 says yes to remixing the original, you know that there’s gold in hands. The techno Italian shows his most experimental side, where he explores the boundaries of bass-driven techno and electronica.

Label owner Cursed P about the release: “Vincent Leijen is a producer with exceptional talents. He turns techno into magic. I’m also really proud to release the remixes of NT89 and Amateur. They did a great job of transforming the original into both electronica and acid house. All tracks are perfect to play out!”

Having remixed Jozif’s “Twilight” for John Digweed’s “Live In London” opus and played at the Bedrock anniversary party where the live recording was made, Spain’s Edu Imbernon has already demonstrated a brilliant ear for pulsating house music. Now, he returns, having teamed up with fellow Spaniard Triumph, with “Veranoski” - another haunting masterclass in dancefloor dynamics.

Edu Imbernon is a great example of how a young artist can quickly make their mark on the electronic scene, his worldwide hit - “El Baile Alemán” (produced with his friend Coyu), was lauded as "Best Underground Track of the Year" by Beatport in 2009. Since then, he has continued his steady ascent up the ladder towards house music stardom, with quality remixes for the likes of The XX and Maya Jane Coles, amongst others. His productions have featured on notable labels like Get Physical, Noir Music, Trapez, Great Stuff, Diynamic, alongside his own Eklektisch label. He's also resident for Kehakuma at Space, Ibiza.

The superb remix of “Veranoski” comes from another of Spain’s finest – Henry Saiz – whose outings on Bedrock are always exceptional. Henry's critically acclaimed “Balance 019” album, released in 2011, was the catalyst for his star potential explode around the globe. His superb collaboration with Guy J (“Meridian”) and his solo track (“La Marea”) for the landmark Bedrock 100 release, were of the highest level of quality and his “Cryptozoologist EP” (BEDDIGI27) was one of 2012’s highlights. Here, his remix of “Veranoski” once again proves Henry Saiz is undoubtedly one of the most extraordinarily talented young producers around.
