A magic carpet ride of sound transports the dancefloor when Dragonfly throws down his full-spectrum, body-mind-soul transglobal sound experience. Think cutting-edge, polyrhythmic akashic bass meets primordial sound, elastic dreamtempo, tribal mayhem, and ecstatic bliss. 

wHAt: Each mix showcased is a unique snapshot or portrait of the dancefloor. No mixes are alike, no dancefloor is alike...and no set ever preplanned, recorded or mixed. This is raw.

hOw:  As a consummate crate-digger his days are spent down the rabbit-holes of sound, constantly discovering emerging talent and the hidden gems of sonic possibility. With an ear for the exotic and a background in movement arts, his approach is through the emotive keyhole of the psyche, while unlocking the heart of the dancefloor community. As a percussionist who’s adventured extensively throughout the near and far east, his mixes span all tempos and all genres of electronic dance music. His selections are drenched in global idioms, accented with tribal motifs, and interwoven with relentlessly intoxicating rhythm and groove.

Drawing inspiration from the cosmos and ancient traditions, Moonfire weaves together instrumentals, rhythmic drumming, and mesmerizing chants. Each composition is a journey, designed to lift the spirit and ignite the soul. Her curvaceous melodies lead to powerful bass drops, inspiring the primal instinct to dance.

Mariel Pauline is a sunshine chaser. Riding into the city on teardrops birthed in daytime darkness, she moves in prayer.

A community leader, event producer and DJ, she is guiding your heartbeat home while holding the space between remembrance and return. 

She is here to help you dance yourself free.

Mariel Pauline holds space for the icky, and shows you how beautiful that is too. She amplifies the sorrow alongside the salvation and pours love on the broken places until they are overflowing with grace.

Bring her the masters of self-destruction, the lost boys, the strong girls afraid to soften. She wants the mirrors afraid to look inward, the closeted joy-hunters right up front. For the dark dance floor deviants with one hand on their heart, the other reaching towards God - embrace the loud- use it. For the gods playing dress-up in human form, your secret is safe. Her space is yours to use. Give it to her, you don’t need it anymore.

All the sets here have been created/recorded at an Ecstatic Dance production with live dancers. Our productions are intentional gatherings, follow an energetic journey-arch, have a minimum time-length or one hour and incorporate professionally curated and mixed global electronic sounds and tracks to uplift the spirit and inspire free-form dancing.
