Paradoks is back to Timeless Moment with the thriving EP titled 'Panarea', including five powerful dance floor tracks featuring Rauschhaus and Matchy on the Remix duties.

On the original side, Paradoks makes a huge return to Timeless Moment with the lead track "Panarea", receiving some huge support on this title from names such as Tale of Us , Kevin de Vries and Innellea.

"Stay", the Second track of the EP, has a similar a synth coloring to the lead track of this ep, but has a more rhythmic groove with a more melodic journey with in. The nice subtle vocal on top refines this track to become a true summer anthem.

The final of the originals by Paradoks is "The Prophet", which brings a more hypnotic groove on the bass line and lots of dark synths. You can definably feel a truer Progressive vibe on this track, especially due to its more atmospheric sounds.

On the Remix duties we have two German powerhouse artists. Label staple Rauschhaus returns to Timeless Moment on the Remix duties for "Stay", while we have the much expected debut from "Matchy" reworking "Panarea" in expert fashion!

Over the years, Berlin has been cited as Oliver Koletzki's main point of reference and, more importantly, his endless source of inspiration. His albums Großstadtmärchen and Großstadtmärchen 2 are wholehearted tributes of the German capital, as its importance is continuously hinted and charted. Friedrichshain, one of Berlin's vibrant districts, has always held a special place in Oliver's heart. This is where he started out when he first moved to the city, and this is where he lives now. Kreuzberg's wall paintings adorn Stil vor Talent's cover sleeves and host their headquarters. There are little to no corners in the city that haven't brought a spark of inspiration into the mix. The Schneeweiss compilation series, now at its 12th installment, is built as a form of tribute to all these particles, tied in together into a series of carefully curated tracks. Elif continues to show her endless list of talents; The Turkish label has enlisted the free spirited talent to compile their latest VA ‘Harabe Nightmares II’.

In a tumultuous year, Elif has been a shining light. From her ABRACADABRA residency which provides escapism and connection at a time we need it most, to stellar original releases on Stil Vor Talent, A Tribe Called Kotori, and remixes on Anjunadeep and AKASHA, she’s used this time to truly focus and flourish. Whether she’s writing a track or creating a set, it’s a compelling journey that draws you in. So it’s no wonder she’s been entrusted with compiling the latest Harabe Nightmares compilation.

The track list features a diverse range of both emerging and established talent, plus Elif and Marat Mode team up on the driving cut ‘Koan’, where a catchy riff meets a building synth top line in a colourful rocketing crescendo.

‘I was thrilled to be asked by Cagdas (Anatolian Sessions), a fellow Turkish producer, to compile this VA’ Elif says. ‘I loved having the opportunity to curate music that I like playing from producers I love and want to support. It took a couple of months to compile and was so fun and so satisfying that it made me consider starting my own label in the future! Harabe is an exciting emerging imprint that I'm happy to be a part of. I am in love with each and every track on the compilation and very proud of all the artists who contributed.’

The Turkish label has been bubbling up since it launched in 2019, releasing heartfelt music that defies typical genre norms. ‘Harabe Nightmares ||’ will join a back catalog of quality and consistency from this indie imprint.

Following on from some sunny house groover by The Possé, @Ken-Oath-Records turns away from the light and invites you into the dark with Adelaide’s @FuriousFrank, who dishes up a selection of psychedelic burners and formidable squelch. On this release Frank pays tribute to the many mushroom picking spots in the surrounding hills of his hometown, and does them justice with an assortment of broken beats, affected drum flourishes and paranoid synths. Over the course of the 5-tracker, Frank presents sounds for the frayed final edges of a night out dancing, where shadows start to play tricks on the mind and each remaining song poses more questions than answers.

Berlin based Portugal born producer Jepe is better known for his credentials on Moodmusic, Aeon & Stripped Down Records. 

Kicking things off is ‘Edge,’ a melodically driven piece that will keep you hooked throughout its electro 80’s like synth lines and rhythmic patterns. 

Next is ‘Endless Summer,’ Jepe offering his characteristically sci-fi electro output, shuffling along with great smoothness keeping you locked in. 

‘Lola 2000’ is a shuffling swinger with plenty of energy; sparse, yet sounding complete with a cool arp lead, perfect to set the mood. 

Closing the package is ‘Left behind,’ again Jepe displaying his signature sound with rich melodic synth lines and a textured atmosphere, aimed for a more laidback after hours vibe.

Owner of impeccable production skills, Javier Busto (SXDNS076, FREEDL009, and FREEDL022), a seasoned and renowned producer of the Madrid electronic music scene, lands again on acclaimed Spanish label Espacio Cielo with a solid track that masterfully brings together his Post-Punk, Techno, and Disco influences. “My Own Way” comes accompanied by powerful remixes made with love by Aurum Miles, GUYD (FREEDL011), and Parissior (SXDNS206). An exquisite single full of dark grooves and obscure influences that showcases the richness and the importance of the so-called Dark Disco/Indie Dance sonority.

Label boss Parissior is the mastermind behind the remix we opted to review. His interpretation brings a stark punchiness to an already strong release. He kept the intensity of the original and added some more clout to it. Easy job? To someone skilled and competent as Parissior (Aurum Miles and GUYD), yes, definitely. Javier’s works are not so simple to deal with, they are complex, well-crafted, and deep. Reinterpret them is a tough task, an assignment the virtuoso trio of remixers must have embraced as a challenge – and succeeded in delivering outstanding versions.
