Groundwerk Recordings is a label driven by ART>EGO. Groundwerk's sound reflects the moody depth of an urban landscape existing between ocean and forest. From bright outgoing summer days to dark and heavy winter nights, our releases aim to tell the story of the four seasons experienced in our west coast city. 
Music featured on Groundwerk Recordings has sprouted from grassroots electronic music community initiatives in Vancouver, Canada. The most predominant of these initiatives is the Groundwerk Listening Party, a monthly social meet-up for electronic music enthusiasts to connect and collaborate. With these events gaining momentum, Groundwerk Recordings is born, ready to present its community to the world.
We launch with an EP from Diana Boss, a production duo that has been with us since Groundwerk Listening Party 001. 
The single West Coast, featuring lyrics and vocals from Vancouver artist Elle Wolf, soars over the coastline and with guitar arpeggios and a hint of synth driven-hardness. 
The B-side Legacy is a sassy bassline driven stomper with a wide-open drop.
Karsten Sollors' West Coast remix takes the single deeper and later into the party, delivering a lower groove that sits well in a tech-house set.

Edger blends deep tech, melodic, progressive and afro house in a way that keeps the vibe and dance floor going all day and night. Growing up playing drums and loving all genres from rock to disco, becoming a DJ was the obvious transition as Edger’s love for house music intensified over the years. With a drumming background of over 25 years, sometimes you might catch him playing percussion during his live sets. Being in and out of recording studios since the age of 19, producing music has always been a big passion. His first single "Take Me Home" was signed in 2019 under Valiant Records, and soon after his single "Heartbeat" climbed to number 4 in the Beatport hype deep house chart. Edger has received international support from Hook N Sling, Felix Leiter, Milk & Sugar, John Course, Anthony Pappa, D-Compost and Kid Enigma to name a few. Edger's releases have been featured on radio stations in Australia, the UK and Canada and you can hear him on his weekly radio show, "Sonic Edge", on Australia's iconic house music radio station Kiss FM. 

Edger's bookings have seen him supporting international acts such as Stacey Pullen, Osunlade, Traumer, Dave Dinger, Henry Saiz and Tiago Oudman. He has also shared the stage with some of Australia's best including Anthony Pappa, John Course, Jamie Stevens, Thank You City, Mo'funk, Cristopher Coe, Sgt Slick, Steve Ward, Tom Evans and Colour Castle to name a few. His DJ bookings have taken him around the world playing in Australia, Canada, Indonesia and the Netherlands. 

In 2019, his first track “Take Me Home” was released by Valiant Records. An upbeat melody featuring soft vocals, drums and strong flute trills perfect to energize the crowd at any moment. With only a few months of releasing, his next tracks “Kallista” and “Heartbeat” caught his audience’s attention and made it to Beatport’s Afro House Chart (#36) and Hype Deep House Chart (#4)

EDGER has held residencies at some of Melbourne's most famous clubs and can be regularly seen at places like Storyville, Pawn & Co, 29th Apartment and Sky Disco ft. John Course among others. He has also played in famous clubs like Cocoon Beach Club (Bali), and top-level Australian events like Festival 23. His presence on radio shows has grown by leaps and bounds starting with support from Australia's own Kiss FM, RTRFM and Fresh 92.7, and now EDGER has a weekly show every Tuesday from 2:30-4pm on Melbourne's Kiss FM. 

Always in studio and working on new music, so expect some big releases coming soon.
