Today we celebrate 20 mixes and we  have a special mix by Coque Aka Coco The Coconut! @cocothecoconut

He is the creator of Freedonia, a different mystic club in Barcelona.  No doubt in recent years there is a bigger music scene and one of the great culprits is Coque, he has brought many international artists and is giving a fresh outlook to the Barcelona vibe. 
He was one of the first to support the Italo disco / Dark Disco / Disco music culture ... a select community in which people will listen not just be there to dance but to listen to great music.  Right now Freedonia is one of the leading clubs in this genre and little by little we see artists grow through the support of Coque.  

Adrian Marth started in Freedonia and it has certainly been the beginning of something very big for our artistic growth. This year Freedonia will bring artists such as Curses, Shubostar, Donald Dust, Antoni Maiovvi etc. Today we welcome a very complete and super Italo club mix! Just what Italo moderni is looking for ... that Italo essence but without losing the most powerful club culture!

Well what a dream line up we have here. Leo Mas, Fabrice and Sally Rodgers all come together for a summer bomb on Kenneth Bager's consistent Music For Dreams imprint. The result is an essential modern deep house cut, melancholic pads accompanying Sally's hearfelft vocals of hope and survival while the synths and bass pulse underneath, driving the groove forward. Killer house music from three arists who have been in the game long enough to know how to move a dancefloor.

“(…) ALFOS pilot, Sean Johnston, has a ton of music to about to land. The most balearic of which is an E.P. for Le Temps Perdu. Released under the moniker A Mountain Of Rimowa** the record packages 4 originals, plus a remix by the NYC team of Justin Strauss and Max Pask. Each of the tracks bears a recognizable sample, or recreation there of, spanning the genres of soul, post-punk, and house. But these aren’t edits, or even “radical reinterpretations”. More affectionate nods. Since the borrowed bits aren’t core to the tunes. They aren’t the hooks. More an anchor, a leaping-off point. Sometimes only really evident in the intros and outros. Perhaps deliberately acknowledging the past while reaching for, and returning from, the future. No More takes a line from a soulful chart hit and kinda uses its sentiment – of love and understanding, an end to all wars – as its stance. Re-contextualizing these Shoom favourites in a purely electronic setting. Raining down racing arpeggios and anthem-ic piano. The production betraying its author`s love of Italo and synth pop. Joker replays a section of treated post-punk guitar / ambient isolationist dub. Using it to build a buzzing forceful throb around a skipping motorik rhythm, bleeps and a New Order-esque b-line. Brothers And Sisters In The West on the other hand bases its bass riff on that of an instantly recognizable 80s house classic. The new beat / EBM-flavoured Brothers And Sisters In The East is punk funk, whose bottom-end is hulking, muscular, Paul Simonon-like, while its guitars chop and change between tense and nervous Psycho Killer strum, and angular Mick Jones London Calling shapes. The beat like a machined Barkays` break. Pounding, but not pulverizing. Its echoed rimshots eventually escalating into an intense saber rattle.

**A Mountain Of Rimowa is a reference to the life of the “jetset” DJ, and high-end luggage. It is not – as I imagined – some occult Lovecraftian location. Then again, maybe it is.”

Coming off the back of their fierce remix of Lou Hayter’s ‘MBJCFM’, Rheinzand trade seats for the receiving end. On this first of a bundle of three remix EP’s, it’s the Belgian trio’s disco splurge ‘Obey’ that gets the treatment.
On the first slot of four, SIRS (aka Daniel Klein) puts his bouncy staccato grooves to work in a sped up housey version.
On ‘Hardway Bros Stereo Odyssey’, acid house veteran and disco devotee Sean Johnston filters the theatrical sheen through glitchy techno beats in something like a cyborg re-assemblage. Pure Terminator funk. A live mix of this version, recorded at the SSL, features as well on track 3.
Scorpio Twins finish off with an epic of coruscating lightworks that somehow seems nocturnal at the same time. This is absolutely stunning sound work, if we’re allowed to say. Crystal glass structures, shimmering through space in circuit of thumping bass drums.

Victor Valpuesta is a DJ, musician and passionate music professional based in Mexico City since 2016.

He has been involved in the Mexican music scene since 2017 as musical director for Otto Bar, music advisor for Dinsmoor Club, Supra Rooftop, and talent curator for Festival Vaivén and Festival De Frente.

His music project Valpy is powered by psychedelic beats, rippling synths, wonderful vibes from the retro future, and funky atmospheres that won't let you stop dancing.

He currently has a monthly residency at some of the best parties and underground venues in Mexico City such as M.N. ROY, Supra Rooftop and Dinsmoor Club.

You receive an unpredictable, instantly hip-loosening, expertly, but oh-so-casual performed set, in which you want to dance for evermore. A light-footed ride over the keyboard of contemporary and universal sounds from organic-melodic house and disco through to soulful techno. You have to know who operates the controller here. You’re dancing towards the DJ booth. Who do you behold behind the turntables? Filburt. His sets between turntablism and beat match expertise, mindful of his flowing together in the great Floor formula style horizons are no more regional phenomenon. As 50 % of Good Guy Mikesh & Filburt [@ggm-filburt] and also as a producer / DJ on his own Filburts effective radius has expanded into the national and international in the recent years. As the former manager of the renowned Leipzig Vinyl Dealers Freezone Records and owner of the label @O-RS was or is he active at all possible switching points of the scene. The experience behind the decks and in the periphery trains his sense for the perfect club track for years. Several formulations with this feeling for House and everything adjacent have already appeared on labels like Permanent Vacation, Liebe*Detail, Mirau, Dirt Crew, Compost and Riotvan.

Tune in for sweet trip-hop instrumentals, jazz-inspired electronic, house, disco, techno, and lots of funky bass.
