Operator Radio - Exercise 15 - October 2023

Couldnt be more happy to have @a_hil on this show. Great dude, great DJ, and loves all sorts of music: everything that Full Range Motion is about. He wanted to do something different than he usually does so here we are. Two hours of halftime/doubletime atmospheric-jungle-techno-watcha-may-call-it sprinkled with some dubstep, weirdo electronica and DnB. Loved it!

No-holds-barred banging techno session with local don, colleague, incredible DJ/producer Lenson. Big inspiration and absolute legend in our hometown Rotterdam so I was super proud to have him on the show. Might want to put your seatbelt on for this one!

Operator Radio - Exercise 17 DJ FRM & Lenson - 16th January 2024

Ozzo is a very talented local DJ and exceptional digger. He dedicated his (young) life fully to Rotterdam nightlife and co-hosts amazing concepts such as Dohm. He wanted to discuss topics such as soul and groove in House and Techno, as well as the state of Rotterdam nightlife. We played some (deep) House and a few Techno bits in between to keep the pace going. Hope you enjoy!

Debbie Huisman (@huismandeb) is a DJ, dancer, teacher, and choreographer based in Amsterdam. She's the mind behind concepts such as Digital High and has performed in numerous Dutch clubs over the years. As I have been following Debbie Huisman for some years, it was a great honour to me to have her on the show. Debbie plays a solo set her for the first 45m or so. Afterwards we discuss her influences, her creative process, and some of her approaches to DJ-ing as a dancer. We finished playing b2b. Enjoy :)

For this special 20th edition of Full Range Motion on Operator, I've invited one of Amsterdam's most exciting techno talents: DJ, producer, sound tech, and official future student of electronic music at the Amsterdam Conservatory of Music @Varunae . We talk some of her influences, approach to DJing, social media struggles, as well as topics such a track selection, folders, and 'crunchy' techno. We do a short interview at the start after which Varuna plays for 40/45 minutes. After that we do another short talk, finishing the show with bouncing our latest favourite tracks to each other. I’ve been following Müzmin (@m-zmin) for a looooong time and I absolutely love playing his tracks so having Müzmin on the show for the 21st edition means a lot, especially because we started working together recently as Müzmin will inaugurate the label I started recently with Lenson titled 'Fusion of Thought' with his EP 'Yucca'. Müzmin and I pre-recorded an interview in which we discuss Müzmin’s influences, techno in general, and he provided interesting insights on the tracks he did for ‘Yucca'. Müzmin also sent me a sick short mix and picked the (customary) final track of this Exercise. Enjoy!

Operator Radio show with my good friend and co-label owner @393AD! We are celebrating the first release our label @fullrangemotion by his hand titled 'Doctrine EP'. 393AD is a very talented person with a relentless urge to create: he's an independent artist for over 20 years; an art school teacher; part of world-renowned art collective 'We Make Carpets'; a DJ; an electronic music composer; an amazing story-teller and so much more. We discuss some of his work as an artist and his approach to making music. It's a very interesting conversation so I really advice listening to some if not all of our conversation. Of course we play a few records too.
