Hey guys, this is the latest iteration of my Progressive demo set series, called "October Prog".  I aspire to have this be a monthly podcast release, doesn't always work out that way with work and other "life" things that get in the way time-wise, not to mention that I am extremely picky about track selection for these sets, which can sometimes be hit-or-miss. However, I am very happy with the way this one turned out, and there are SO many great tracks on this mix. I just recently went to Japan on vacation for 10 days and was hoping to get this one done before I left. I recorded a version of it however it wasn't quite ready, but I listened to it a ton while in Japan, and as soon as I got back, I made some changes, even swapped out a few tracks with some new gems that released while I was abroad, and ended up with this. I'll have my Uplifting Trance opening set from the GANESH show uploaded next, and I'll also be opening for Irish Trance DJ/Producer, Billy Gillies, on November 17th at Ora, which I am really excited about. Anyway, this mix has pretty much been on constant rotation for my daily playlist, so I hope you enjoy it as much as I had fun recording it!! BTW, the photo is one I took during my Japan trip, from a botanical garden in Kobe called “Herb Garden” which was this really neat place that you had to take a gondola ride up to and then hike down the long trails of flowers and herbs. Note: Mark only uses AIFF lossless quality tracks mostly purchased at Beatport.com (except for producer demos). All mixes were either recorded live in the club or directly from Mark's gear (DJM A9 Mixer, 2 Pioneer CDJ3000's) recorded on a Zoom H4n Pro in WAV format, then professionally sound leveled post-recording, Voice ID Tagged, and  converted to MP3 by Chris Dececio Studios in the UK. EVERY single mix on Mark's Soundcloud was recorded live and in the moment on top-notch Pioneer DJ gear, not mixed with computer software, so they might not be exactly perfect 100% of the time, but they are "real", which is a standard of mix quality, authenticity, care, passion for live mixing, and DJ integrity Gotek is proud of. =)
