For episode 75 I had to bring in a very special guest - my close friend, the incredible vinyl selector DJ Center. Don't ever miss a chance to witness Center spin a gig - whether at the club, the lounge, the charity event, or anywhere else - and don't sleep on his production or mixes either. Center and I share a deep love of jazz music and so I thought it would be dope to have him bring some of his favorites over for the podcast. Of course he showed up with more records than we had time to play, but he focused in and delivered some really high quality flavors that are perfect for this episode. これぞ！とコルトレーンの遺伝子を受け継ぐデヴィッド・マレイの豪快な演奏がアルバムの始めから全体を勢いづける『French Kiss For Valarie』は、ヨーロピアン・ジャズの美しさの極みともいうべき深い悲哀を帯びたものとなっています。華やかな演奏がメイシーのしゃがれた歌声と抜群の相性を示す『Be My Monster Love』、発表した２枚のアルバムが、グラミー賞のジャズ部門とR&B部門にノミネートされ知名度、人気とも注目度急上昇中のグレゴリーを迎えた疾走感溢れるソウルフルな楽曲『Army Of The Faithfu』、色彩溢れるピアノのイントロから始まる『About The Children』、バラッド曲『Hope Is A Thing With Feathers』は、ロングセラーを続ける「BE GOOD」の世界観にも似た穏やかさと心をなごやかにさせ、静まらせる慈愛に満ちた楽曲に仕上がっています。
