Forged in the cohesion labs of Indianapolis, the XK3 EP by producer D. Strange dives into the metallic underworld of alienated shadows to create 5 icy acid electro cuts.

The submerged acid-tinged opener, ‘Sonic Recoil,’ ascends with a snarling pathos of trap hats that pierce through the looming fog of the club. ‘Negative Center’ haunts in cunning dexterity and grooves with a jacking pace of brooding momentum. Somewhere in the maze of resonance droplets, cascading hats, and the ominous synth pads, the track “A Black Liquid Filled My Lungs” hypnotizes in its atmospheric acid electro hybrid. Right out of the gate, the self-titled track ‘XK3’ punishes with off-beat synth shards and glitchy, mechanical snares that snap in anthemic propulsion. While ‘Ghost of Kashif’ weaves itself in esoteric, yet evocative, soundscapes with club menacing fashion. Rounding out the release, fellow Indianapolis producer Noncompliant contributes a cruel electro sub-heating take of ‘XK3,’ to warm the boreal tips of the EP.

🎙 Noncompliant - Raised in small-town Indiana on a musical diet of 80s synth pop and punk rock, Noncompliant soon found barnyard raves and warehouse techno parties and (as DJ Shiva) quickly became a fixture of the fabled 90s Midwest USA rave scene. Now, almost three decades and a name change later, she is at the top of her techno game. 90 minutes of electro music recorded live in July 2025 at Forest Friends, a private campout held in the wilderness outside of Portland, Oregon. 

Centrikal (Patrick Frye) is a DJ, producer, and event organizer (Nu Habitat, 23L3CTRO) who specializes in electro, with a background in house and techno. His production and DJ sets showcase decades of experience, including collaborations with artists like DJ Slip and Freaky Chakra. His music has been released on labels including SubSensory, Particle Music, Peloton Musique, Radda Records, Innerflight Music, Nude Photo Music, bleepsequence, and his own An1mlz Music.

D.Vices (Jack Coleman, aka JAK) is a DJ, producer, organizer, and live electronic music performer from Portland, Oregon. D.Vices draws from Jack’s 20+ year immersion in rave and electronic music culture to create a mutant blend of electro, breakbeats, acid and bass. Since launching the D.Vices project in 2021, he has released a series of chart-topping tracks on labels including Particle Music, Alien Breakdance, Resource Records, and ZEN DNA, as well as a limited vinyl release on Detroit’s RWYS Records.

Kim Cosmik started as a DJ for free party soundsystems Spiral Tribe and Bedlam and DJs at festivals and clubs all over the U.K and Europe. She was also one of the first women to play at the ledgendary Knowledge club in London.

Kim Cosmik has played at events such as Rebel Union at Fold, Unfold, Don't at Corsica studios, Shambala festval, Boomtown Festival, Woodfest, Electroweks, Hybrid rave at The Glove That Fits and Iklecktic in London as well as About Blank in Berlin and several events in Hastings on a regular basis.

Kim Cosmik runs her own event called Hybrid Rave which started in 2019 and has taken place in Hastings, London and Birmingham with a host of artists such as Jerome Hill, Radioactiveman, Syrte, Transparent Sound, Aaron Liberator and No Data Available.

Kim Cosmik also runs her own label called Cybersoul and also releases music on many other labels such as 2020 Vision, Science Cult, Touched Music, Moatun and many more.

This classic, originally released on the legendary Black Nation Records, is a personal favorite of mine. That's why I was stoked to be asked to turn in a remix. Pressure? Yep. But I had fun and I think I made a nice jam that will pound a dancefloor (or a home system) quite nicely.

Raised in small-town Indiana on a musical diet of 80s synth pop and punk rock, Noncompliant soon found barnyard raves and warehouse techno parties and (as DJ Shiva) quickly became a fixture of the fabled 90s Midwest USA rave scene.

Now, almost three decades and a name change later, she is at the top of her techno game. She was recognized as one of Mixmag's Top 20 Breakthrough DJs in 2017 and has performed at renowned venues like Berghain and Tresor in Berlin, Smartbar in Chicago, and DeSchool in Amsterdam. She has also appeared at festivals such as Unsound and Movement Detroit. 

Noncompliant's releases and remixes on labels like Valence, Flash, Outerworld, and Dark Entries have made waves in the global music scene, with her track "Women's Work" even landing on Fiedel's official Berghain 08 mix and his label Fiedeltwo. In 2023, she is launching her own label called Giant Arm, which features her signature style of raw, uncompromising techno. 

At her core, Noncompliant is a die-hard techno fan with a deep love for music and a drive to continue honing her craft as a DJ and producer to share her favorite music with people on dance floors around the world.
