本作からの1枚目の先行シングルとなる“Nobody Else”は、Raquelが最も影響を受けたアーティストの1組と語るJamiroquaiのメンバーであるNate Wiliamsと制作。他人と比べることなく自身の人生を歩んでいくことの大切さを歌うミッドチューンだ。“Crybaby”はオーストラリア出身のソングライター／プロデューサーMXWLLが手がけ、まるで晴れた青空が目の前に広がるかような爽快感溢れるポップR&Bで、自身の感情を開放する喜びを抜けのいい歌声で聴かせてくれる。“Blue Moon”ではSpotifyでの再生回数が1億回以上を記録するNYのシンガーソングライターMac Ayresとデュエット。優しく語りかけるかのようなMacの歌声との調和が美しいスロウナンバーに仕上がっている。
他にもAmber Navran (Moonchild)、Adam Deitch (Lettuce)、Leven Kaliら初タッグとなるアーティストやプロデューサーを迎えたことで彼女の新境地とも言える本作。一方でプロデューサー・SammyBを中心に長年タッグを組んできた制作チームとのコラボレーションでは、これまでと変わらない彼女の魅力も存分に堪能させてくれる。土臭い70年代のファンク、煌びやかな80年代のシンセサウンド、艶っぽい90年代のR&Bのテイストを絶妙にブレンドし、どこか懐かしさを感じさせながらも決して古臭くない普遍的なサウンドに仕上げるセンス、ハスキーでエモーショナルな歌声を武器にキャリアを重ね、着実にステップアップしているRaquel Rodiriguez。世界中のリスナーが彼女の才能とその魅力に気づく日も遠くないだろう。

The Pharcyde (pronounced "far side") is an American alternative hip hop group, formed in 1989, from South Central Los Angeles. The original four members of the group are Imani (Emandu Wilcox), Slimkid3 (Trevant Hardson), Bootie Brown (Romye Robinson), and Fatlip (Derrick Stewart). DJ Mark Luv was the group's first disc jockey (DJ), followed by producer J-Swift and then J Dilla.[citation needed] The group is perhaps best known for the hit singles "Drop", "Passin' Me By" and "Runnin'", as well as their first album, Bizarre Ride II the Pharcyde (1992). The group continues to tour and record, both collaboratively and in solo projects—the most recent being Hardson's collaborative EP with the award-winning DJ Nu-Mark (of Jurassic 5) released in 2014 on Delicious Vinyl

This was during the time when I was trying to make remixes instead of just finding & throwing acappellas over beats I made that night.  I never cared for the original beat to this song, it felt too commercial, so I felt like it was time to challenge myself with this joint.  I don't remember all what I sampled but I do know I sampled the actual bassnote of the song, sampled 1 or 2 different Crusaders songs, and the drums from a drum loops record.  I liked it so much that I ended up putting the instrumental on my beat tape "Basement Beatz From Da East" ( https://djjoeyjoe.bandcamp.com/track/reminding-me-of-self-1st-mix-again ) later on.  I then made a second version of this beat with slowed down samples for a different vibe, I might post that one sometime soon.
