Welcome to the second installment of the Local Underground RDG Series which aims to spotlight underground dance mixes from Reading, Pennsylvania. Here is a nostalgic slice of 2000-2001 house, tech house, progressive, and tribal vibes. This mix features classic cuts from Peace Division, Sharem Jey, and, of course, some killer tracks from Hooj Choons. This mix was put together on two Technics 1200s and a Pioneer DJM 500 on Walnut St by City Park where the Digital Movement crew then resided.

Justin Thomas - Local Underground RDG - 2 - Classic Progressive 2000

In this edition of Local Underground RDG, we feature this super-clean mix from Joshua Ian, who makes 2005 sound like the future. Each one of these tracks still slams, and Josh has woven them seamlessly here. Breakbeats bubbling into four on the floor basslines make this an exciting journey, and all 12 of these tracks contribute something special to it.  This mix merges well many genres, blending the lines between them, asking us to just call it great dance music. Josh offers the right track, at the right time on this one, as each selection draws us deeper and deeper into sophisticated dance territory.
